you really can’t compare someone using multiple 600wHPS and their yield to someone trying to replicate that yield with a single light. Yes the multiple fixture grow will account for greater yield per light but that’s because the plants (or plant) is benefiting from the total light output in the grow area.

It's not easy but you could pull 2lbs from a 600w
you are going to need to flower something like critical mass or incredible bulk, very high yielding strain.
fan on the floor aimed up, filter hanging vertically directly above and the 600w hanging in the middle, the 600w should cover 3ft vertical canopy, about 1ft away from the canopy (sides)
covers about 90cm height, radius 30cm, that's about 2.2m2,
seen it done a few times Heath Robinson
This is will the old style ballast, the new ones could 30-40% more effective, so it's more than possible.
I have tried it myself and pulled some amazing crops but I don't think it's the safest way to grow.
The risk is not worth the reward IMO.

However you must provide for their nutrients just the same.

The adage "You reap what you sow" holds true.

What a naive generalisation. What sort of idiot would use that shit on their own personal grow? It is definitely not used in the legal medicinal market.

Not sure what type of penal colony you think Mother England is running down here, but we are finally evolved enough to be able to import/export goods world wide. Yes, we have all popular ranges like h+g etc. Even have quite a few quality Oz brands too. Oh, and running water too recently.

100% of the time is illegal crime gangs using for quick profit like it is world wide.

90% of that seems to be Vietnamese syndicates on the East coast of Aus.
