Does this really count as cancel culture stuff? More like activism, pulling his songs removes some of his own revenue, to put more publicity on a streaming giants responsibility to fight misinformation on its extremely popular channels.

I doubt Young believes Spotify will "cancel" a show they paid $100 million for exclusivity, in exchange to continue streaming his songs. Also cancel culture is not necessarily a bad thing, considering it falls pretty closely in line with the thinking that consumers can impact company decisions based on how they spend their money/time. Cancel Culture requires support of whatever cause they are peddling to have an impact
