Is this not the one you have? EXTREME LED X2 on the side. Hydro Grow LED plaque on the other. Bright silver metal. How are you getting the actual draw from the wall? I am curious on that for sure.
No this is not the one I have, I have the big ass one to the far left on that chart the 336x-Pro LED.. it says 520watts, the marking on the back looked like it said 580w, the light I have is covering a 4 x 4 area and weighed close to 30lbs according to that chart "I could see it, it took me and my wife to hang the heavy thing". We will see how things go.

My apologies brotha you are right! That one should be 520w draw according to their chart

More diodes/w = longer lifespan, beyond that they all do about the same thing, spread comes down to form factor, I like bars. If you’re a competent grower, with a dialed in environment as long as you’ve got enough light the brand is unimportant. Sure features like tunable/seasonal spectrums are neat but it’s mostly marketing.

it says hydro grow on one side and on the other side it says Extreme LED x2, I myself even tried to google up this light and could not find it, like that one dude said they may have been a scrap type of light, but it is 580w actually drawn from the wall, the light itself is stupid heavy, I had to attach it to the studs in my ceiling since I was worried about the weight of the light. I haven't had it up long enough to see what its going to do yet, but we shall see.. It was given to me so in no way can I complain nor be anything but grateful and if it doesn't keep up with the hid I will just add more light..
Whats the point of testing a crappy old blurple? Seriously, don't waste your time.

blurples get a bad rap.... i've been running these kind led's for a few years and never fail to produce top flower for me, not the best weed in the world, but def gets me super baked every time and great terps and i've been smokin 35 years daily....they were $475 a few years ago now ther are a few left in old stock for $175 on amazon.. i have recently purchased two supplemental small kind led bars to help out... this pic is at week 5 of flower, not huge buds but they will be good enough for me, i'm not going for cannabis cup 1st place...

I think the thing is...if the poster in question is considering buying an LED that's a more-current full-range QB or bar style unit, testing the viability with an old-school blurple unit isn't necessarily going to provide an accurate experience/test in comparison to the light they may end up buying.

my buddy grows with a new Loriflux bar style light cost him $1000 and he's a good grower, i put my weed up against his any day... maybe he could do better with it if your saying the new lights are def better...

The burlple lights are just outdated and trash when it comes to power and photons to the plant. The spectrum is incomplete by alot as plants use green and everything in between. It might not be much but the rounded out spectrum will out do purple lights anyday in every way.

Are you talking about the new floraflex leds?
Loriflux 8 bar... he runs in a 4x4 tent dimming the light i think because it's too bright... he runs 4 plants in huge pots, maybe 10 gallon pots idk... he gets more yield by far but i still say the quality of mine is better than his... that is prob the way he grows though, diff nutes, etc...

Maybe or he's just bad at it. The light he's using is fairly nice so that said I chalk it up to either not being able to grow or improper environment.

Growing is a 'complex system,' complex systems can fail in a multitude of ways...so blaming it on a single thing is often a mistake. It could be one or many different factors at the same time.

Possible but from what I’ve seen it’s either something within the environment or they can’t grow. my brother in law is a prime example of the later. Endless cash and luck however could grow himself to save his life.

I'd used hid for ever I was happy with my result and had no intention of changing, it was only luck winning a Mars Tsl2000 (300w) that changed my mind towards led, now I've 5x 240w boards and a mars sp on top.
Tsl2000 grow.

I still use my hid when it's cold and I can't use enough power to get the temps up, a couple of days ago I changed a 600w mh to a 250w mh and hung 2x240w boards @75% it's roughly the same wattage with a much better light spread and intensity.
I'm still getting 25.5/26c with a similar leaf surface temp idk if that's due to mh but it's working fine.

Another 7/10 days I'll be able to swap out the mh for another 240w.
Tf I won that tsl :-)
