It's all done in PHP. I just skimmed but it looks like it's more of commercial grower/retail store app for tracking, reporting, POS, etc...

Okay, thanks for that info.
Personally I have a Collatz Conjecture software project to finish when I get to it so I'll do the note book for now myself.
Keep notes and perhaps I could write something to aid me.
I would think tracking genetics and recording details would be useful. I'm old so remembering things could be a problem now and going forward but I sure want to keep my hobby going as best I can.
Details and Observations would be a cool thing. Hijacking some other software could be a jump-start.
The thing about me smoking my medical strain, which I sifted some weak keif from the seed plants and smoked yesterday is that I often have great ideas and plans but it's the managing the time to be productive that is the thing.

I came across this open source plant breeding software project. I downloaded the source code from Bitbucket. Sucks that it's written in Java. I'll get it running later and take a look at it. There was a demo link on the sight but it doesn't work.

Just to get back on the Rails, I just emailed the Agriculture department here in Illinois and asked about selling Cannabis seeds as a small business.
I'm starting there.
I do believe in the benefit of people sharing medical Strains and this isn't a communist system it's capitalism.
Once I have an answer there I will then proceed to the Medical Cannabis people and ask them too.
Who knows. I'm officially retired now but I still have some skill and ability. It would be nice to be a "Strain Maintainer" and also provide access to these Genetics for a small consideration.
Speaking of @Joker90 what happened? Where did you go?

Naturally I have to see what it will take to get a business started but since it is legal to sell Cannabis seeds in Illinois I sure am hoping it isn't as expensive as trying to sell weed!
In the meantime I will build it out and have some fun even if I can't afford the whole dream to come true. I can always sell it later as I did with another site and for $3000.00 (I'm not joking)
The Goal of StrainMaintainers.com is to provide access to medical strains and perhaps allow access to other maintainers to link their genetics as well.
It's okay if others also make strain maintainer sites because we need people to keep genetics around instead of just buying the flavor of the month stuff only to toss them away for the next thrill strain.

Same. Not best way in terms of privacy I suppose, but is also A way to backup my pics, since I don’t use a tabletop computer/flash-drive. Haven’t done all of my documentation here, though.

@Joker90 maybe just start by trading a few seeds with people. No matter what you do, it’ll take a lot of time and patience, even to sell junk.
@xtsho when you grow out that Kwazulu (talked about in a post by @Sofa King Smoooth), and you maybe get some seed you want to get rid of, hit me up if I’m around- I’d pay/trade. Same to you, Sofa. It’s “hype” strain to me (as in I grow it and hype it haha), and I hope it stays pure and un-renamed by the capitalist masses. -Cat’s out of the bag(seed)

This would make sense to me if it was some long cached old school or landrace type stuff from half a century ago. In that case the genetics would be a serious commodity.

I met Franco personally in Amsterdam back in 2010. I hadn't kept up on them and I read he died of Malaria.
I think they were moved by the locals being upset that Green House stood to make millions on I think a Congo land race?
I think Franco doubled back and fought for Legalization there but became ill and died.

On the Auctions. I had no clue why what I was looking at was so expensive.
Maybe it is as you say "Old School and or Land-Race."

But seriously, some of the older genetics that most consider to be extinct would be worth decent money though. Not spending cash on another candy-cake themed half assed whatever.
