Oh Cool I work in C. Mostly experimental mathematics. And I can take pictures of the pages and store them on a thumb drive if I want.
I'll probably throw an app together in C# just because I haven't really coded anything for awhile and don't want to forget how. Use it or lose it.
Is the open source one on github?Oh Cool I work in C. Mostly experimental mathematics.
Still if someone else has done it all the better. I did see an open source one.
Notebook sounds easier.

It's all done in PHP. I just skimmed but it looks like it's more of commercial grower/retail store app for tracking, reporting, POS, etc...
Okay, thanks for that info. It's all done in PHP. I just skimmed but it looks like it's more of commercial grower/retail store app for tracking, reporting, POS, etc...
I came across this open source plant breeding software project. I downloaded the source code from Bitbucket. Sucks that it's written in Java. I'll get it running later and take a look at it. There was a demo link on the sight but it doesn't work.Okay, thanks for that info.
Personally I have a Collatz Conjecture software project to finish when I get to it so I'll do the note book for now myself.
Keep notes and perhaps I could write something to aid me.
I would think tracking genetics and recording details would be useful. I'm old so remembering things could be a problem now and going forward but I sure want to keep my hobby going as best I can.
Details and Observations would be a cool thing. Hijacking some other software could be a jump-start.
The thing about me smoking my medical strain, which I sifted some weak keif from the seed plants and smoked yesterday is that I often have great ideas and plans but it's the managing the time to be productive that is the thing.
Huh..I came across this open source plant breeding software project. I downloaded the source code from Bitbucket. Sucks that it's written in Java. I'll get it running later and take a look at it. There was a demo link on the sight but it doesn't work.
GOBII releases open-source tools for faster plant breeding
Crop breeders in developing countries can now access free tools to accelerate the breeding of improved crop varieties, thanks to a collaboration between the GOBII project at the Boyce Thompson Institute (BTI) and Cornell University (USA), and the James Hutton Institute (JHI) in Scotland. Have you used translators/converters before? I have years ago and ended up with tons of errors trying to compile.Huh..

I remember being young and a snappy Coder.
Now I am a 61 year old special needs kid.
Okay and kudos to @Joker90 for posting such an interesting thread.Have you used translators/converters before? I have years ago and ended up with tons of errors trying to compile.
Anyway we should probably stop hijacking this thread.
Same. Not best way in terms of privacy I suppose, but is also A way to backup my pics, since I don’t use a tabletop computer/flash-drive. Haven’t done all of my documentation here, though.I do use my postings as a record for comparing strains or reminding me of a strain. When I want to know what something was like, I just search me here on particular forums. Really helpful for me.
Have you seen the prices of some of the Cannabis Seed Auctions?Greed and entitlemen.
This would make sense to me if it was some long cached old school or landrace type stuff from half a century ago. In that case the genetics would be a serious commodity.Have you seen the prices of some of the Cannabis Seed Auctions?
Got a couple three grand you can spare for a dozen seeds?
Could be.This would make sense to me if it was some long cached old school or landrace type stuff from half a century ago. In that case the genetics would be a serious commodity.
Nah, these days it's probably just an over-hyped something that someone decided is a limited edition whatever.Could be.
Breeding stock for sure would be worth a bit.
GreenHouse Seeds thinks so. Have you seen any of their "Strain Hunters episodes" ?
I met Franco personally in Amsterdam back in 2010. I hadn't kept up on them and I read he died of Malaria.
I think they were moved by the locals being upset that Green House stood to make millions on I think a Congo land race?
I think Franco doubled back and fought for Legalization there but became ill and died.
Very Sad! Wonderful guy.
On the Auctions. I had no clue why what I was looking at was so expensive.
Maybe it is as you say "Old School and or Land-Race."
Lots of that era stuff...what is around now is probably not what it was then. Colombian Gold, Panama Red, Lambsbread, etc.I remember something they called Colombian Gold. It was like Champaign of weed.
If it was truly Columbian Gold I wouldn't know. Never came across that smoke again. Would like to but nah.
