Led stays on

If you read thru, my electrical is fine but a 200w led bozily light was glowing all night. I swapped it out for a no-name 200w led that does the same thing, like moonlight all night. About 4 weeks from flip the plant under this light has much better calyx to sugar leaf ratio than another two under 135w blurples. Anyone else have a light glow all night?View attachment 5157158

This is almost always due to switched hot wire and neutral at the timer or before the timer. Or possibly a dosgy timer which bleeds thru a bit of current, enough to feed the driver to a low low operation. l If your plugs are reversible then try that. If not reversible you need to make sure that the those pins kinda get reversed. If you dont wanna mess with your installation or light just yet you can try getting a small extension cord, cut it in half and reconnect the cables but live nd neutral reversed (usually this would be blue and brown wires in your cable. Put the timer after the jimmied cord and try again. If no joy then there is probably something wrong with the timer or figure where the light can draw a low ac current from. But its almost always as simple as reversing the cables or turning your timer 180 degrees around

Decided to replace the weaker blurple with the Bozily led tonight. Two 200w led’s with the 135w Sayhon blurple in the middle. In the end, if you get an led that glows, forgetaboutit, it hasn’t been detrimental to flowering at all that i can see.

I am absolutely 100% sure its not the house wiring or timer. Has to be the driver and wondering if its by design since the plant seems to like moonlight.

Its a bit of a hard thing to swallow though, how would the driver magically get some power to glow those leds. I dont know of any magic lights that do that but each to their own. If theres light there must be some power going to the driver. Its not powered by batteries or cosmic energy. Also reversed polarity in peoples homes is common enough to have popped up several times here. And not really a big deal if it was so you wouldnt have to tear up all the wiring or anything. I... Just dont know what to tell you mate, your favoured explanation is quite ... Well Spock would have a hard time with this one.

I really appreciate your interest and obvious knowledge. The only thing that shuts the light off completely is unplugging it. Tried properly wired outlets, no difference. Suppose i could try the light in a different house but for now theres just enough juice to keep glowing and she likes the “full moon” every night. Thanks again for helping.

I had a Amazon light that was doing this. My outlets are wired fine. My outlets are old too. I have a few ungrounded branches as well.

I sold the Amazon QB for better quality LEDs and I don’t have the moonlight glow any more. My Amazon led didn’t have a dimmer or timer. If your outlets are wired fine and the tester verified this then I don’t understand why everyone keeps saying it’s the outlet.

If the LED has a timer on it then it HAS to be receiving power. It most likely is receiving a low voltage. I suspect it is this low voltage that is constantly running to the LED. The power could be flowing through the driver which allows the timer to work. Just a theory.

Replaced the 85w Focuslux blurple with the 185w LED by Bozily. Left the 135 Sayhon blurp in the middle. Two moons now
