Best way to transition from 18/6 to 12/12

Implies scientists doing it in a lab? Wut?
Peer review? Boatload of other regulations? Which?

Perhaps you should google “scientific method” also as you clearly aren’t aware of what it entails.
Although procedures vary from one field of inquiry to another, the underlying process is frequently the same from one field to another. The process in the scientific method involves making conjectures (hypothetical explanations), deriving predictions from the hypotheses as logical consequences, and then carrying out experiments or empirical observations based on those predictions. A hypothesis is a conjecture, based on knowledge obtained while seeking answers to the question. The hypothesis might be very specific, or it might be broad. Scientists then test hypotheses by conducting experiments or studies.

Science needs scientists.
Broscience needs well, yeah, guess who :D

Here let me quote from the link you provided too.

“Experiments can take place anywhere from a garage to a remote mountaintop to CERN's Large Hadron Collider.”

Good comeback though.

Oh and this too, “It involves careful observation, applying rigorous skepticism about what is observed, given that cognitive assumptions can distort how one interprets the observation.”

He most definitely didn’t apply this part to his “experiment”, as he already went in with the conclusion that flushing works. All he proved was his conformational bias.

He had no control plant. He didn’t even post his pre-flush readings. You honestly think he drilled that hole in the stalk a week before harvest to obtain sap pre-flush for a baseline reading?

I thought you were intelligent for a minute there, but you keep proving me wrong over and over with what you post.

Tell me why tapping sap then measuring the ec is not a valid test?

To me it's pretty straightforward truncheon flickers there's nutrient in it, if doesn't flicker then there's not it's not rocket science requiring a lab?

Well this is great advice however i was asking if there are any nuances to the switch.
If you are saying it doesn’t matter- ok
please just say so- obviously I know how to physically change the timer.
Why is everyone so mean?
Kindness goes a long way-
Never mind
Thats not really mean imo. He just typed what the majority thought when they read the post. Sometimes guys who’ve been doing this a minute get alittle cranky over repetitive or in their opinion painfully obvious questions. The best advice here is don’t over complicate the process of growing your plants

People use it in high brix grows so one could argue it has some merit obviously its brix levels rather than ec but i think both could still have some use

Where is this test @Star Dog?
Yes there are many nute ions solved in the sap... I mean that's how they flow through the plant.
I'm busy at the moment but I'll get back with the details and clear up more of planks lies on matter.

For clarity... I don't flush, the notion of it is daft so I certainly didn't set out to prove anything like plank the liar implied.

The best way I've found to get fast flowering and lots of bud sites from repeated experiments is to feed a half dose of bud booster a week before flipping directly to 12/12 and give the other half at the flip. That's along with a higher than usual dose of all 3-parts of 3-part nutes. I also add extra light and some CO2 while changing my exhaust fan controller to allow the temp to stay around 85 - 90F. Sometimes need to change the thermostat on my heater too if the light isn't enough to get to the temp I want.

The onset of flowering, (the stretch), is a massive growth spurt and when I ran DWC I noticed that my daily ppm drop could increase up to 3 - 4X the amount it did during late veg and later in flowering right after the stretch. They want lots of everything during the stretch.
