Are those cuttings? I took some cutting from a beefsteak tomato and was surprised how fast they rooted in a cup of water. I'm going to grow some indoors over the winter so we can have some decent tomatoes. I can't eat those flavorless things they sell in the supermarket.

Any sucker from a tomato plant will root in days just stuck in the ground and kept well watered.

Wish I had soil like that, mine is clay.

Mine is black loam down to the frost line. But all my veggies are grown in peatmoss compost and vermiculite in equal amounts.

Beet root can be musty which I don't like. These were young and sweet. The tops are the best when cooked until tender but I wanted some colour for the photo. Learned beets can cause false positives for blood in my medical checkup results

A little white vinegar just before.you put them in helps pull them together. Also if eggs aren't super fresh the whites can do the egg drop thing

I think I posted every possible way a few years ago.....lol went through a bunch of eggs. Only fresh eggs.....we used to have chickens.......but I don't want to talk about that....I hate chickens.
