One of the big reasons I like Fulvic Acid so much is the positive impact is has on microbiome. The cool thing is, it does the same thing in people, both humic and fulvic acids. I just found this study, which shows a 30% increase in the "concentration of colonic microbiota" after 30 days of supplementation-https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5296205/

So, last night I noticed the terps on both C99's are still in flux. Right now my "nice" one is really putting out a potent grapefruit smell. The Sweet Tooth #4s are more consistent than the FDM C99's, between mine and the ones my friends popped, they really strongly resemble each other and have identical terps, but out of those, one plant stood out. I'm thinking a fem cross of my grapefruit C99 and this Swt #4 might make some really nice plants, and it would be fun to grow out the fems alongside the Swt#4 x C99 (mixed male) seeds I'm making. Here are a few pice of the nice Sweet Tooth #4 we found.
That's one of the Swt #4 x C99 (mixed males) seeds forming. Only 2 buds are seeded on this one, so I'm kind of curious to see if there is a noticeable difference between seeded and unseeded bud on the same plant. I know that seeded cannabis develops a different cannabinoid profile, which could be useful for medical conditions. I'd love to run my own study, but doing it properly would require a lot of expensive testing.
These are three different buds on the same plant, btw.
I think a lot of folks out there would love this Sweet Tooth #4, even the "average" plants that my friends are growing are sticky and dank with 90s terps that have serious nostalgia value. Grapefruit was one of the great and fairly common pre-Kush terps, but I haven't had any good grapefruit in years-I only find it when I seek it out, never by accident. I was hoping for pineapple, but it wasn't meant to be this time. Maybe next time I'll try Hazeman's C99-I see a lot of good examples of those, and it's fun to compare these old strains that were preserved by different people.

I'm glad you love yours too Jeff! I used to miss my CMH when running LEDs because I enjoy the quality (as in feel, not $$$) of the CMH light, but now with my HLG, I don't miss it anymore. I like the HLG as much as the CMH, but with the upside being, no potentially explosive bulbs, much less scary in power outages, and of course all the other little quality of life improvements from LED (easier dimming, less heat on the flower tops, etc). I had one HPS bulb blow on me 20 years ago and it came really close to starting a fire, so I'm probably overly sensitive about it lol.

I have a bunch of close ups today because those are the easiest for me to take quickly, but I'll get some of the whole colas soon so you can see how they are filling out. I'm really glad I grew out the C99 and Sweet Tooth, both are very much as I remember them-this has been a nice nostalgia trip. I remembered Sweet Tooth #3 as being one of the frostiest plants I'd ever seen at the time, many years ago at my grow mentor's house-all his cuts were beautiful though. It has been a joy to grow again-if you've ever grown the SPG cut or one of the Sweet Tooths, Hazeman Mikado, Sweet Island Skunk, Sweet Cindy....you know that these genetics have something special, even though I favor NLD types. And my friend and I both have possible keepers out of the same pack of seeds....
The C99s also had 2 possible keepers out of a pack, which is not bad. I think as growers we would all dance a merry jig if every pack had a guaranteed keeper in it! My 2 local buddies who started growing since Rec was legalized here helped me pop the rest of the C99 pack-it had 7 males and 4 females. 3 of the females look identical...from a distance-the big Cindy/Jack spears we all love, no little OG nuggies here! Up close, one of them falls way short, should have been culled, but who knows? The next two look very similar, with one being obviously superior in terms of terpenes-and of course my Ruby Red Grapefruit pheno, which I love more and more. You can see from these pics, it doesn't have the same spear shaped buds, more rounded, and lots of little foxtails emerging, and it's also slightly shorter....BUT....that could be because it's the plant getting CSL instead of Maxibloom/grow.
Also, just wanted to mention this since I just found out the other day...Swami is having an AWESOME Black Friday deal. In years past they do a buy 1 get two of your choice free, which is a great deal, I love those. This time it's 50% off, but if you spend at least $100 (normal cost of 1 pack) then you get TWO packs free. So 4 packs for $100 instead of last year's 3 for 1, not bad right? Yeah, it's so fun to see seeds forming again, I'm glad they took! I've had BOG's Sweet Cindy back in the day so I kind of wanted to see how my homemade version turns out. This one uses #4 but I think BOG used #3, which was very very similar. I think I did a pretty good job of pollen control this time, it's definitely easier to use when it's moist (soon after dropping), though I think dry pollen actually performs better..

So I'm going to be starting a new deal with c99 and my Panama Red we're going to go 12/12 light from seed I've not done this before and I would love to hear your thoughts on the matter if you wouldn't mind sharing

That's a great idea Jeff, hopefully you can cross those too, I'd love to see the offspring! 12/12 from seed is neat because you use less power from the beginning-it's great for our power bills. And since the plants are getting less light during veg, they grow less quickly, which makes it perfect for the Panama as far as keeping it a manageable size indoors. Otherwise it works pretty much the same as usual-the plants will show sex at their normal age for sexual maturity, so it doesn't really cut down much on the time to harvest, but it will shave off a little bit. Here is a Sweet Tooth #4 from the side.
This is the ESB-this plant would have benefitted from a bigger root ball-these 1.5 gallon root balls make such skinny stems. I like the massive trunks I get when I mainline and give the plants enough time to fill out a 3 gallon root ball-even an extra week of growth in a larger pot before flipping to 12/12 will end up with double or triple the trunk thickness. I'll show you guys pics of different "trunks" coming up here soon, this is something I've been paying close attention to.
This, and the next pic, are of two different "lowers" on my grapefruit pheno C99. I like to see how the buds develop closer and further away from the light, to help dial it in for the "quality" I like. These lowers get full exposure, and they are about 3 ft from the 650r at 80%. I actually think I could have gotten away with running it at 60%, and I'll definitely play around more with that once I get a par meter.
