Yeah I've been growing a minute and just torched a seedling with a T5 it always feels better to know I'm not the lonely only.I feel better knowing I'm not alone, good morning!

I was using my basic old school mechanical timer until the guy at my local hydro store suggested a power strip with a built in timer to power the whole 5x5 and it’s made me feel a bit more fire safe than running too much power into just a little dual outlet timer lolNice Jeff! I know I should go digital but I have like 3 or 4 extra mechanical timers because I bought a couple 2 packs dirt cheap for an Amazon black friday deal and now when one dies, I'll just keep replacing until I run out, then maybe I'll go digital lol
Nice! I've used those before too Anthony, I like those timer strips.I was using my basic old school mechanical timer until the guy at my local hydro store suggested a power strip with a built in timer to power the whole 5x5 and it’s made me feel a bit more fire safe than running too much power into just a little dual outlet timer lol

so it’s still the old school mechanical style, except I have 4 plugs always on for fans and my dehumidifier, and a timer controlled 4 plugs for lights as I used to run 2-3 lights in this same space arranged differently, but in this pic I only have my new HLG Scorpion Diablo in the timer side, and two oscillating fans plugged in the always on side.
I’ll go digital in the future as well one day maybe if I upsize further to say a full size sealed room, but to power my current 5x5 grow this thing was well worth the $40 it cost me
so I woke up this morning confused also @Rurumo as I forgot the time fell back an hour overnight, but now I’ll just leave it as is if anything since I’m in early veg at the moment.
Oh I singe mother plants on t5s anytime I'm less than stellar in keeping them pruned (regularly), don't feel bad.Yeah I've been growing a minute and just torched a seedling with a T5 it always feels better to know I'm not the lonely only.

We all occasionally make a lil fumble, it’s certainly not just y’all as experience doesn’t always guarantee 100% perfection but some people here on RIU act like they don’t make mistakes but I don’t think that’s very honest or realistic.Oh I singe mother plants on t5s anytime I'm less than stellar in keeping them pruned (regularly), don't feel bad.
I just run my strips off my timerI was using my basic old school mechanical timer until the guy at my local hydro store suggested a power strip with a built in timer to power the whole 5x5 and it’s made me feel a bit more fire safe than running too much power into just a little dual outlet timer lol

Honestly I'm a worse grower now than I was when I first started. I was so scared and careful at first. Now I know how hard they are to kill and how much neglect and abuse they can take I've gotten lazy. That's what is so inspiring about @Rurumo growing a very long time and still experimenting, learning and teaching. I want to be that but being 'forced' to smoke my grow keeps me less motivatedWe all occasionally make a lil fumble, it’s certainly not just y’all as experience doesn’t always guarantee 100% perfection but some people here on RIU act like they don’t make mistakes but I don’t think that’s very honest or realistic.
I’ve made some newbie mistakes after I took a few years off gardening like messing up germination with some older seeds that needed more TLC than I gave them and later also letting tops of plants grow into my old CMH setup after a couple days of laziness lol
A power strip with integral timer seems like good idea to minimize clutter but amps are amps.I was using my basic old school mechanical timer until the guy at my local hydro store suggested a power strip with a built in timer to power the whole 5x5 and it’s made me feel a bit more fire safe than running too much power into just a little dual outlet timer lol

That’s what I was trying to tell the dude at the hydro store but I wasn’t completely positive so i guess I just liked the convenience too but hey my old method never caused a fire in many years further proving your point lolA power strip with integral timer seems like good idea to minimize clutter but amps are amps.
It's irrelevant whether the timer is part of a power strip or separate, the same current with flow through either.
It's super easy to let little things here and there slip, then before you know it, you end up with PM or spider mites or deficiencies. That has happened to me many times- I've definitely had my ups and downs with plant care. I think keeping a journal helps motivate me to stay on a good schedule, but it's okay to slack off from time to time, like you said, they can take a lot of abuse! Trying out different strains, and different methods/fertilizers/media, etc, keeps things fresh for me. This hobby requires a major commitment of time, labor, and financial resources, so I'm always trying to think of ways to keep myself motivated over the long term. Cannabis is so readily available at such low prices that I feel like I should go the extra mile and really grow for quality and whatever terps I'm currently craving, I think you really have to love growing to stick with it, especially if you're handwatering coco...Honestly I'm a worse grower now than I was when I first started. Thanks Jeff!! You are much appreciated.Awesome as always
Happy to see you back hopefully that means you're on the mendsorry I haven't been on in a while, been having some health issues. Good to see your progress!
I hadn't seen you around in a while and was wondering if it was something like that, I hope you are feeling better! I can relate to chronic health issues (and to a bad bout of Covid last year), good health really is the most important thing, I would take it over any amount of money.sorry I haven't been on in a while, been having some health issues.
