Going to keep my ammo in boxes at the range from now on. The guy's spent casing sets off a live round sitting on the shooting bench. Don't know how to inbed the video but the twitter link takes you to it.

I definitely wouldn’t believe that without a vid. Id be more concerned about those primers it should take much more force to ignite

I have dropped probably dozens of rounds in my life. Scary stuff but fortunately wouldn’t do much outside a barrel

I think it also has to be the rounded lower ridge of the shell hitting the primer at a 1 in a million angle. Still, better safe than sorry for me in the future.

Im not 100 but that might be a different outcome if that happens in a seated mag or during cycling

Regardless of angle imo an ejected shell, especially one that’s already bounced off a wall, shouldn’t have the force required

Here's my weapons of mass destruction...okay I'm Canadian and we can't own real guns, so pellet guns they are

I bought the pellet rifle in grade 8 for five bucks...that was 1972

The pistol on the bottom left is a single shot air pump

The other is a CO2 revolver that has a 8 round clip (.177 caliber) or 6 rounds of BB's


CO2 cartridges, .177 pellets, BB's (plus the 6 round BB clip) and gun oil


The indoor range.... 31 feet (10 meters) with an assortment of beer tins

Is that air rifle a Benjamin brake barrel? Benjamin’s and Crossman pumps were that popular pellet guns back in the ‘70’s. I went on many hunts with my Crossman, lol.

pellet guns can be mean, a friend of mine has a modified one, and the little bullets sound like .22 rounds hitting.

that may be a feasible option for hunting if so.
Im pretty impressed at what they’re capable of in the field.

Heres a piece i had done on dad’s rifle after he passed. Rifle isn’t anything special as far as rifles go. Old Mark X mauser action in .30-06 but its higher quality than most field grade rifles i see on shelves now. We occasionally liked to bump heads so it was fitting lol

Yeah you are allowed pellet/airguns without a license... can buy them from anybody willing to stock them pretty much.

It's a Slavia 624, single shot, .177 caliber, break barrel air rifle that was manufactured in the former Czechoslovakia somewhere between 1955 and 1977.

We can own certain rifles/shotguns for hunting but it's continuously becoming more restrictive....pistols are another story, they are extremely restrictive here in Canada.

I believe any air rifle/pistol over 400 fps requires a gun permit/licence (the same as a firearm), so most of these ones sold in department stores are under 400 fps to avoid the hassle of federal regulations

nice shooting. Can i ask why not just adjust that group. Id be happy but i know thats me .No its not smallest group but most cant make one hole ragged or not. Especially in a ten shot string
