I mainly run a Dynasty 280 dx. I'm pretty sure the Maxstar is DC only.I think the one I posted is only a stick one but the 1200 series is both stick and tig you can get them either or or both.

I have one of those in my garage that was given to me. Don't even know if it works. It has a 220 plug on it and I don't have an outlet for that. I suppose I could hook up a 110 cord to it.I rarely stick weld any more. It's funny it feels like every few years I'll do it though. I still have this
I think I bought it even before welding school. The wacko neighbor down the street had some crazy project and couldn't weld for shit. He got frustrated and sold it to me for I think it was $150 lol it's the AC/DC one too. I was about 15 when I got it and it's been everywhere with me. I mostly tig, mig is a close second, but I doubt I'll ever get rid of that one. I've watched it fall off trucks a few times.....down a set of stairs lol
I snaked the old lincoln buzz box I had from a jobsite lol. Thing was beat up pretty good .I rarely stick weld any more. It's funny it feels like every few years I'll do it though. I still have this

Yeah i been scoping out a miller multimatic but i don’t tig. Would like to someday but i had a spoolgun for my last mig for aluminum. I never need to weld stainless.I’ve used these for years now. lift and go I use them at home at work they are great for all jobs unless it’s structural and need to exceed specified amp rating on the welder but they do tig and stick. I can’t get used to the peddle on the bigger tig welders and I don’t really like that new pulsing arc stuff. I don’t really mig anything anymore as mostly everything is stainless I work around now.View attachment 5248853
I think we talked about this before but the miller multimatic i been looking at is DC tig onlyI mainly run a Dynasty 280 dx. I'm pretty sure the Maxstar is DC only.
Electric dryer outlet?I have one of those in my garage that was given to me. Don't even know if it works. It has a 220 plug on it and I don't have an outlet for that. I suppose I could hook up a 110 cord to it.
BTW it's raining.
I had that little 110 buzz box.I snaked the old lincoln buzz box I had from a jobsite lol. Thing was beat up pretty good .
I learned with stick, it’s just the normal for me usually. When you learn stick and then pick up a wire feed, you feel like you can weld behind your back lol. Its too easy.
Look for used.Yeah i been scoping out a miller multimatic but i don’t tig. Would like to someday but i had a spoolgun for my last mig for aluminum. I never need to weld stainless.
Yeah the Dynasty is the one at work. My boss asked me what one do I want lol so I even got the wireless pedalI think we talked about this before but the miller multimatic i been looking at is DC tig only
Pulse could be pretty nice if used right. It's extremely controllable. I get to play around with it a bunch.I’ve used these for years now. lift and go I use them at home at work they are great for all jobs unless it’s structural and need to exceed specified amp rating on the welder but they do tig and stick. Wives aren't usually happy about it tooNo room to weld in the laundry room.
A 220v 1 Ph extension cord would be easy to fab.No room to weld in the laundry room.
I can wire in a 220 outlet in garage #2, just haven't done it.A 220v 1 Ph extension cord would be easy to fab.

I've commuted on atv, snowcats, snowmobile and jeeps to visit some bobcats deep in the woods. To sit in a wet muddy trench in some of the worst weather conditions. It was fun.....

How does that work?Me nether. Cool & a great temp cure for the lack of the proper hardwired fixture.
2 legs of 110.How does that work?
But do you have that? And won't it be too much for a standard breaker? I'm not an electrician at all.2 legs of 110.
Everything runs on 110 in your house, that is what all the plugs are. Those outlets are 15-20 amp depending on wire size. But do you have that? And won't it be too much for a standard breaker? I'm not an electrician at all.
