Those contracts are with Uncle Sam, or a lot of them are, is Elon gonna tell them what to do, or even know what they are doing and where?

how many times am i going to have to ask why this douchebag southafrican not a fucking American has critical defense contracts?
he's demonstrated very clearly that he's a fucking magat fascist, and a putin sympathizer...Nationalize spacex, and starlink, pay him off and then DEPORT him as a security threat.
Shut twitter down, while you're at it, it's a swamp of garbage.

The ability to do tactical withdrawals and retreats is a sign of a well trained and commanded army. The Russian mobiks can't do the same, they are thrown into a trench or told to advance with no communications, training or proper command. When the Ukrainians strike them and breakthrough, the Russians won't be able to maneuver and retreat and will be surrounded by a blitzkrieg armor attack. When they trade ground they stretch out the Russian logistics while killing attacking Russians, then they can counter attack their flanks.

This is a last roll of the dice for Vlad, they must attack before the new armor arrives and is deployed, by summer Vlad should be out of money, equipment and probably troops and what he will have left in Ukraine will be in pretty tough shape. The Ukrainians continue to mostly defend and the Russian rate of artillery fire have been dramatically reduced and their infantry is getting slaughtered trying to attack with untrained and unequipped mobiks.

The point is not to defend turf so much as to destroy the Russians for as long as the continue to attack and prepare to take ground back later in a big way when they are ready and conditions are right. When they do attack the Russians this spring they shouldn't have a Helluva lot left to oppose the offensive. It is mud season or soon will be in Ukraine, with global warming it lasts longer in the fall and comes earlier in the spring.

They have basically the same kind of ground in Ukraine that we have here and you're right about the mud seasons. I worked in the oil patch building ice roads and working oil rigs so am very familiar with operating heavy equipment on the muskeg. The permafrost melts over the summer and it takes more than a few days of cold to harden it back up enough to support things like cats or water trucks. Same thing for tanks and all the heavy trucks used in the war.

Doesn't help when you get the more frequent warm spells during the winter like we've seen increase over the years here. It's been on the + side here for the last week and January was way warmer than usual tho we were freezing our asses off at -35C for a good part of Dec which isn't usual wither. Bugger all snow out there now. Maybe a foot where it drifted up a bit when it snowed but stubble showing in the fields around me now. Used to be neck deep in the fields by now.

It boggles my mind that these mental midgets on the right can't see supporting the Ukrainians is a bargain basement way of finally getting Pootin out of everybody's hair. Nice to see more NATO countries upping the ante with more guns and money. Like Biden mentioned many times in his SOTU speech, "Lets finish the job!"

:peace:

they grew up immersed in propaganda, every day of their lives. we did, as well, but ours is a lot more subtle, and involves omission a lot more than active lies...
russia just seems to make up huge honking lies, and spreads them with impunity, and their people just suck it up, no matter how obvious the lies, no matter how convoluted and just plain broken the logic is.
They've had access to the internet for a couple of generations now, the truth is out there if any of them were interested in finding it, but they seem quite comfortable being lied to, as long as they can stay drunk and fed, and get an occasional little western toy to play with.
The only time those who live in the major cities seem to get upset is when something disrupts their personal comforts. The rest of russia, and russians do not concern them, those are the hinterlands, populated with subhuman cannon fodder.
That's all true man,we keep hoping, waiting, hoping, and waiting for some kind of visionary ready to admit and get to fixing the deep flaws that saddle Russia.Unfortunately those in the deep know concerning Russia such as Gary Kasperov and Julia Ioffe say that their are crazier people than Putin that are odds on favorites to replace his ass, just the thought of that is disturbing and depressing.

putin is still the same kgb officer running spies in east Germany before russia imploded. He still has people poisoned and thrown out of windows, but he did forget one thing...to keep an eye on your organization.
He allowed corruption to run rampant, with little to no over sight or direct supervision, and it cost him, a bill that is still growing.
That's the fox in the henhouse w/communism,it praises the common man w/the word commune as some kind of shared paradise w/utter disdain for the bourgoise. Then under this banner through corruption and propaganda a privileged class emerges on the backs of the common man whom they con into this vision.

The republicans can't be stupid enough to not see him for the danger he is, which can only lead me to conclude that they have some kind of interest in keeping a clear threat to world peace in office. Not only that, they have some kind of vested interest in him winning in Ukriane, but they can't just come out in support of him openly, even their mentally deficient and morally fucked up base would turn against them if they did that, although solovyov carlson has been trying to brain wash them into believing that putin isn't a threat...And that the jewish president of Ukraine is some kind of nazi, as well as the previous jewish prime minister.

that's why Ukraine has to crush them, not just beat them...the russian's ability to project force, to invade another neighbor has to be destroyed completely. There can be no treaty that doesn't involve EVERY russian leaving ALL Ukrainian land, and even then, it will just be a matter of time till russia recovers enough to try again. The best outcome for the rest of the world is russia actually breaking up into rump states, which might be a possibility...The ethnic people the slavic russians have been treating like shit for generations have absolutely NO love for them, and no desire to die in their wars. It probably wouldn't take much effort for them to decide to demand independence, they already make up most of russia's military. If ethnic soldiers refuse to take up arms against ethnic minorities, WTF is putin or his successor going to do about it?
that is where any acts of sabotage are coming from, not slavic russians, and that is where russia will peel apart at the seams, if it does.

The possible dissolution of Russia,w/all the nukes and probably contaminated areas as well as all the competing ethnicities and their repressed hostilities towards one another = Yugoslavia x 1000. A fkn almost insurmountable task involving international co-operation on a level not yet seen involving upheaval, refugees, prevention of civil wars, and non proliferation of the largest nuclear weapons arsenal. Statesmen will shudder contemplating a job of EPIC proportions in a geo-political environment that half the world says apple and the other half orange, and I didn't even mention $ and economics.
