Russia has the east coast of the Black Sea even when Ukrainian territory is fully restored. Fuck them and access to Crimea.

In fact, if I were King Of Stuff I’d turn Rostov oblast and Krasnodar krai over to Ukrainian control. Call it reparations. That would give them the unbroken coast from Romania to Georgia.
Nice!

What is the difference between a krai and an oblast?

Image result for krai

When a distinction is desirable, "krai" is sometimes translated into English as "territory", while "oblast" can variously be translated to "province" or "region", but both of these translations are also reasonable interpretations of "krai".

Schooled me this AM:hug:

People don't trust them they still have stains on their faces from Trump's ass crack and Trump does what Putin tells him. Hold a vote on the house floor to send more artillery to Ukraine and see how it goes, then maybe people will think you're serious and not show boating. MTG, Gaetz and the magats are pro Putin and own the republican party, until these clowns show otherwise with floor votes. Show and tell time, keep kissing Putin's ass or man up and kick his ass.

GOP congressmen meet with Zelenskyy as MAGA Republicans push against new aid

The MAGA wing of the Republican Party says the U.S. should cut off aid to Ukraine. But other Congressional Republicans are meeting with President Zelenskyy in Kyiv, saying the U.S. should be doing even more.

Sadly, you have TTSD. Trump Traumatic Stress Disorder. It's like PTSD but just from Trump. I had it but you can get rid of it.

1- We have a normal president.
2- He doesn't reveal shit, like a normal president.
3- He's not weak ie Railroad shutdown (this was for the 329M RURAL who get their 90-day via Amazon); SOTU 'Biden Says', just two recent examples.
4- He's strong, does not fear Putin and walked right up to the metaphorical line..will Putin go to Ukraine? Why not? he wants it really bad.

Limit your news to network. Stay off of Morning Joe and cable. A good show to watch would be Deadline Whitehouse.,it's two hours you can stream it later. Nichole Wallace, the host, was a Republican who helped to ready Sarah Palin as VP candidate..anyway, on MSNBC. No stress, excellent guests that aren't on the others that aren't duplicate of each other. I don't even watch Maddow anymore. I abhor stress reporting/angertainment.

You work on a golf course which in SoFla was the most quiet place in the world..I would play (little) take lessons (more) just to not listen to anything but the birds, other nature and pure nothing-ness..the quiet. If you have ear buds take them off when not using heavy equipment. You need a reset.

At home turn everything off for an hour close your eyes just sit/lay there..I've done this for 24 hours at a time.

As a career salesperson, my phone is almost always off or no sound now due to the stress put upon me by employers..when leadership was stressed on numbers I would get quota call 3x per day.

Trump was keeping you on the edge everyday- it's over now and you can disengage..you just have to remember how.
Thanks for taking time for that thought,I do work at a peaceful golf course,I've done martial arts,I exercise regularly, give myself a solid B in nutrition and consider myself pretty well adjusted to deal w/BS. I also have bird feeders right outside the kitchen window and after a consistent 30 yrs. of providing have a established relationship w/the local songbird community. I understand Zen but I have too much responsibility and chores now to pursue it to the degree that you mentioned(24 hrs.?serious discipline, told you woman are tougher than men). I rely on pretty rigid exercise to keep my mind right, working out is like a toilet flush for the mind, although currently I wish that flush would be w/a old school toilet that used 3 1/2 gal. instead of 1.7 lol.

Too late..the move was codified before new Congress. All the House can do now is be noisy until 2024.

Agreed. That's why I created the thread 'Social Media is not Real Life'. Tik Tok- I can't believe people are in competition over dances? I think. I have no idea what Tik Tok is, though I recently hooked back up with Twitter so I can read posts. I signed up for science, physics etc. my feed doesn't move but they seem to want to shove sports down my throat and I'm not sure why. The advertising? It's in a special box on it's own for me to 'follow'..I mean why is it even there? I'm not the only one..it's a popular request on Google and how to get rid of.
I really feel bad for all these under 30 people who know nothing of pre-social life, depressed teenage girls, suicides, and constant pursuit of likes and incessant quest for the unattainable.I agree that Social Media is not real and it has increased exponentially depression, haters, and posers, pretty much a digital septic system.I think the best balance occurred when every home had a computer and mobile phones only made call and texted, the internet for communicating, research, and purchases existed but wasn't at ones fingertips constantly and Twiiter,Facebook, etc. weren't on the scene.

Good analogy, beam me back to the "Starsky and Hutch" days,I HAD a 72 Gran Torino Sport,w/a 1970 351 CID Cleveland,4bbl,11 to 1 comp. 335 HP,wish I could drive it on Sunday ,summer oldie cruises.
I had a 72 Pinto:lol:

I know you like Morning Joe, I do too..it needs to calm before I'll come back, if ever. I was very insulted with Joe and Mika psychotrumpobulleybabblo:lol: They were getting into angertainment. I have enough on my plate. I don't need my morning political with a side order of^^^^

Edit: I used to be glued to MSNBC, as Progressive at minimum, I needed to make sense of what happened to our cool Obamas life..jumping up and down in your chair is the Pirro formula, the outrage and you have another version of angertainment- like a virus it spread.

72 Pinto's made the Ralph Nader list w/the gas tanks that could possibly explode when hit, don't like character less new cars $$$$$ but they are way safer, since Joe Scar. is a former Rep. he tends to try to keep things fair but their is no denying that all our news slants to their perceived audience although nothing like the blatant Fox,who should drop the word "News" from their title or at least label it FOX "NEWS". I guess I keep hoping Mika will exhibit more of her father's rationality as he was a brilliant man on political/foreign policy matters,I'm mostly into hearing their "guests" opinions on matters such as ADM. Stravitas,Leon Panetta, and others.

Who is he and how does he know?
he has several degrees in the field...look it up

Question everything.
like your glib answers?

Trust in this President and Secretary of State Blinken.
i do trust in them, but not blindly, as you seem to be urging me to do, while discounting a source of information you know nothing about...

Zeihan isn't the end all and be all of geopolitical thought, but he offers fresh views and potentially new and useful insights...
trust every word he says? no...but i don't trust every word anyone says, ever.

I don't like Mika calling out each guests name and/or Joe or Willy..what grade is this?

I know the attraction of Scarborough..Rightie Rep with an update..Mika daughter of one of the Architects of Middle East Peace during Carter Administration Camp David, but he and Mika had personal issues with Trump that bled into the show. +they knew Trump watched them which made it worse.

Someone from the past, speaking to us now..let's listen in..shall we?

Ukraine, a new and important space on the Eurasian chessboard, is a geopolitical pivot because its very existence as an independent country helps to transform Russia. Without Ukraine, Russia ceases to be a Eurasian empire.”

However, if Moscow regains control over Ukraine, with its 52 million people and major resources as well as its access to the Black Sea, Russia automatically again regains the wherewithal to become a powerful imperial state, spanning Europe and Asia.”
― Zbigniew Brzeziński, The Grand Chessboard: American Primacy and Its Geostrategic Imperatives

China (and India) may have thoughts about this..we should just exile Putin to Elba Island.

Biden’s Ukraine triumph keeps Putin wing of GOP in meltdown
i wonder how long before he stops rattling his saber and starts swinging it?
https://www.cnn.com/2023/02/21/politics/russia-intercontinental-ballistic-missile-test/index.html
Because he knows swinging it would be suicide for him and Russia, he knows what the allies have to throw against Russia, and it won't just be America. That is why it has been all talk, so far. If Joe thought he was gonna nuke America, he would first strike him, no problem and he apparently has a few inside tracks in Russia, so they would likely see it coming. They rattle the nukes when they are desperate and I think they are, if this is the best, they can do for an offensive then they are in serious trouble come spring. What will Vlad do when they are really taking a shit kicking with a Ukrainian blitzkrieg surrounding thousands of their troops and cutting off Crimea?

Oh, I figure the Ukrainians will have enough, but holding a vote on more artillery would put Kevin in a box, even a resolution of continued support for Ukraine would do it, and let the monkeys and clowns perform for the public. Ukraine is an issue that divides the republicans and isolates the magats from the hawks among them. White Christians fighting for freedom with guns and guts from Vlad's big government is deeply appealing to their mythos. Foxnews, Trump and magats trying to make them pro Russian will only divide them from the base of the party to the top. It is an issue that can isolate the magats and since many of them are con artists, they'll go with whatever way the wind is blowing and believe in or stand for nothing.

Joe, Mitch, Nancy and Chuck took the car keys away from Kevin until fall, but this would be icing on the cake, even just a resolution for continued support for Ukraine would help! Foreign affairs don't often factor into to domestic politics, but this war is different and presents large opportunities as well as large problems and will change the geopolitical map of Europe and Asia. Also, China is watching, and the results of this war might determine the direction they go, to central Asia, with it's oil and natural resources and peace, or Taiwan and war with the allies. Depending on how this war goes, it has the potential of saving America and Canada a lot of money with Europe taking on its own defense and China by expanding influence in central Asia. China needs our markets and technology and has done very well in the global economic and commercial system they grew at a phenomenal rate and shouldn't want to screw things up with a war over a coastal island.

They want that coastal island so bad they can taste it.
Our aid and presence probably makes the difference, so I hope our posture doesn’t get flaky. Should China make a successful bid for conquering Taiwan, I would rate that as regionally very destabilizing.

It was already an established fact Russia/Putin can’t be trusted, there was no trust left to be broken. If it weren’t for the war this unsuccessful attempt to map wouldn’t even be major news. It’s two day old news about something that happened months ago, that’s almost ancient history for people more worried about their first-world problems. Instead of chinese balloons, we get Russian jets, bombers and spy planes and ships on a somewhat regular basis. Like recently the news two dutch F-35 scrambled Russian planes is nothing new. Belgium and NL each got 2 of them ready 24/7 to take off in just minutes specifically to escort Russian troll planes away from our own airspace. Same with Norway, UK, Germany etc. Happens 300+ times a year in europe. It’s like whack-a-mole. The cold war never really ended so this isn’t as big news or rattling as it may seem.

Although needed to meet emission goals, it’s not a critical infrastructure yet. Might be in 7-10 years though. Right now it would amount to vandalism more than sabotage unless the goal is to disrupt efforts to curb climate change. The Russians know they’ll be escorted away immediately, whether it’s ships or planes, not like they can easily go in unnoticed in our small but busy area. Neighboring countries already track or escort them and inform us of their arrival. So these half-assed attempts doomed to fail are a nuisance, trolling, weak and futile attempts at intimidation.

Amsterdam has the largest internet exchange in the world, it’s for digital packets what Rotterdam is for physical goods, and Russia mapped the data cables in the sea with submarines a few years ago. Sabotaging those would have a more direct noticeable effect.

Speaking of energy… Dutch state-owned company Tennet owns most of the high voltage grid lines in NL and a good chunk of Germany’s grid. Germany wants to buy the part in Germany so their own goverment has full control.

20billion extra to throw at energy crisis and support for Ukraine.

Hold tight..it'll be okay:hug:
