if i could find a good source, i would be trying columbian gold. thats what the family told me we had back then.
I think they might of hid it somehow because once youhave the skunk You might only want a few other flavors . Seems like this is pretty profitable to have everyone hunting and settling on other strains ? I don't know I'm l;ate to the game , having been injured on the job and not smoking for 23+ yrs .yes, they did rather pick on skunk, was it because of the % of thc and the combination of terps it contained, or was there higher % thc strains allready out there in the seed stores?
Yes Jack Herrer is pretty strong/ good. I bought and smoked a pre roll in Humboldt last year .what happenes to the first cuts from a cup winner?. a friend of mine claimed to have gotten one of the original cuts from sensi seeds jack herrer, mind blowing, raceing one minit then half asleep the next. now if that cut is still going, does that mean its still as strong as the original cut?
im only taking them at there word, but i think thats the way it go's, you buy cut's of the cup winning strain b4 it's reversed or seeded with a chosen male
Depends how old the cutting is. 30 + years? Probably some genetic drift. Is it the same plant? Yeah but it won't have the same punch. It's been said it can take 3 years of bringing a plant outdoor to restore it to its full potential.what happenes to the first cuts from a cup winner?. a friend of mine claimed to have gotten one of the original cuts from sensi seeds jack herrer, mind blowing, raceing one minit then half asleep the next. now if that cut is still going, does that mean its still as strong as the original cut?

You know what they say about snitches,The first time I ever saw Skunk was in 1978. Im in Eastern Kentucky.
My buddy, who just passed this last Oct 31 was the one who had it. He got if from a guy in Meigs County Ohio. Back then Meigs was considered the Humblodt County of the East. The guys name that had it was William Keith "NOODLES" Hayes. He would be 77 years old now. My buddy that passed was almost 73. Mr Hayes also had the very first Afghani I ever saw. That was in 1973. He called it Beach Ball, because it developed into a structure that was round, and resembled a beach ball. It got aout 4-6 feet tall, and when dried, it dried to a deep red color, and would choke your brains out. He gave this strain to my buddy. I never met him.
My buddy met Noodles in 1972 in Athens Ohio, when his band opened for Joe Walsh/James Gang. Willie Nelson also used to visit Mr Hayes. Noodles was also the creator of Meigs County Gold, and other strains, and was well known amongst breeders in Appalachia. I was talking to an older guy on Instagram that is from Central Ky, and sells seeds under the name Bluegrass Skunk Lord. When I mentioned Noodles name, he instantly knew of him, and told me he was well known and respected.
Flash to 1978, and my buddy got the Skunk seeds from Noodles. Noodles claimed the skunk was a cross of Indian Kerala, and an unnamed Afghani. May have been the Beach Ball, but I cant verify that. Noodles had been collecting seeds since 1969.
My buddy grew the strain from 1978-1984, when a so called friend ratted him out, and he lost the strain, and got put in jail.
Flash ahead to 200-2001, and Noodles got ratted out, and spent 8 years in Federal Prison for Cultivation. Ive not seen the likes of this Skunk since my buddy lost it in 1984. Noodles went to prison in 2001-2009.
Not saying Noodles created Skunk, but I find it suspicious that after he went to prison in 2001, the skunk seeming just went away.
We never called it RKS, just Skunk. It didnt smell like anything dead, it just had an extremely strong chemical smell of skunk, and would burn your nose, and eyes. It was extremely acrid. There was nothing sweet about it. And you could smell 1 plant growing hundreds of feet away, if the wind was blowing the right direction. Its smell didnt go along with its taste. The taste was on the strong skunk, but Floral side, and would choke the fuck out of you. But there was no doubt the smell of it was straight up skunk, like you had been sprayed in the face strong.
This stuff was also Sativa structured, and would get 10 feet tall in the right conditions and have 2-3 foot long colas. The buds were lime green, with small trichome heads. My buddy grew a lot of it on the Big Sandy River, on the Levisa Fork, which back in the 70s, and 80s was in the middle of nowhere. The Levisa is at the foot hills of the Appalachians. In a good year, he would get 50lbs of it.
Noodles passed away in 2000 at St Marys Medical Center in Huntington West Virginia. And even mentions in his Obituary, that he liked to work in his Herb Garden.

My dad created the strain its Acapulco Gold mixed with skunk #2. The result is Meigs co Gold.. My dad AKA Noodle Hayes did 8 years in federal prison after a large bust.

You know what they say about snitches,
That sucks ass. I owe you mad respect then. It was people like you that got us to where we are today. Thank you for your service.Yep. I myself served from 1997-2009 while under the thumb of the feds for cultivation. I got charged for 1200 clones. I did 7 years behind bars, and 5 years supervised release. The RAT got off. I gave the Rat 500 clones, he got caught, and ratted me out, and they came and found 700 more. I gave him the clones to put on his 2000 acre farm in central Ky. Lincoln county. I got charged for making all of them. At the time it was the largest indoor bust in east ky history. Might still be.
