Alright well I chopped that 1 day later, I've been vaping that for awhile now & it's a great effect. So I guess I lucked out big time.

I don't. Overall structure and swollen and fully developed calyxes are better markers. You may see ripe trichomes two months before harvest and I see people harvest to early at that time all over this forum.
I would suggest forget about using microscope before you understand fully how the plant grows, matures and develop its flower clusters.
Not even close to be done, got a long way to go! Hope you can keep them alive long enough for them to swell.
That may be so, but it looks like you didn't luck out on mass. They don't look like they swelled at all, imo.Alright well I chopped that 1 day later, I've been vaping that for awhile now & it's a great effect. So I guess I lucked out big time.
Looks close, but still putting out white pistils.View attachment 5278973
That doesnt appear done or even close to you?
Yes..Alright this was the last plant I chopped (NL1).
Was this also way too early?

That could explain that lack of swelling.Yes..
A bit early, but unhealthy and on its way out anyhow
Some do that continuously. Do you think it isnt done, or not in the window?Looks close, but still putting out white pistils.
I believe white pistils means calyxes are still growing. It's in the window for sure. Some would chop. I'd still wait a bit longer, but that's just me. I'd rather know they're done, than guess. Some do that continuously. Do you think it isnt done, or not in the window?
Looks pretty prime for chopping to me
If that gave a great effect, I suspect the plants from your current grow are gonna blow your mind...Alright well I chopped that 1 day later, I've been vaping that for awhile now & it's a great effect. So I guess I lucked out big time.
Yea I probably only got 4 ounces off that plant. That may be so, but it looks like you didn't luck out on mass. They don't look like they swelled at all, imo.
Yea the NL1 larf is so good I can only take like 8 little sips off a PAX3 on the lowest setting & I'm good for 2-3 hours. So this Chem D x Purple Punch is probably going to 100% wreck me!If that gave a great effect, I suspect the plants from your current grow are gonna blow your mind...
And I wouldn't listen to that guy telling you they're still way off. All 3 are definitely pretty close to being done. Definitely much better than the previous one
It's not fully developed. Reasons to that is is another question? Flowers are done when fully developed and matured IMO.View attachment 5278973

<<genuinely interested in why you disagree

It's got way more trichomes, like 3x more.

Yup that's all I'm shooting for every grow. Just a little better than the last. Thanks!
Thank you everyone @Boatguy @curious2garden @Hollatchaboy et. al for the tips. I learn from everyone's perspective, it's very helpful.
wordThat flower may never be "done" before it dies by operator error.
Lol..It's not fully developed. Reasons to that is is another question? Flowers are done when fully developed and matured IMO.
That flower may never be "done" before it dies by operator error. I would let it go as long as it's still drinking and eating properly.

Please show some pics of your fully developed plants. @DrDukePHD 's look great to me
