Nope. I used to think that until I read a step by step on how to pollinate on the ethos website.
So basically in this journal said "A pollen viability test showed that pollen longevity in all studied species was greatly reduced by wetting"
I use water to both denature and mechanically remove pollen. Does it completely kill cannabis pollen? I don't know for sure. But I know I don't get seeds unless I want them and I'm running full open pollination tables with 3-5 males at a time frequently. I can only speak anecdotally of my own experience and reading research.
So basically if you do full open polination and say you don't want seeds in any of the plants surrounding you could just spray them with water?
If you're doing an open pollination everything on your table will be pollinated. I'm saying it doesn't get out of that room after hitting them with a hose and since I run my rooms with negative pressure and a fan aimed toward the walls it's held to the tiled walls and plants on the table in that room.
if there was small seeds then you might not have failed at the cross. But you did harvest the plant waaaaaaay too early, over a month too early. So it’s possible those small seeds might have finished growing if they had the chance.
I might not harvest way too early since I harvest this in 11 weeks way above the suggested harvest time which is 10 weeks.
looking at the pictures of the plant it’s very clear it wasn’t finished.
