I'm not sure what I'm seeing there or what you mean by "thread connection"I started taking apart the engine of a mustang with a 170 ci 6 cylinder and the head has a broken thread connector that connects to the exhaust manifold. It is a 1st generation mustang with a generator, and I'd like to use the original head. Haven't driven the car for 10 years but in the past it did not seem to be a problem. I feel I could use it like this without having an exhaust leak when doing the rebuild. Are there ways to restore this damaged area? It would not need to be torqued tight IMO if there was a way to rebuild the threads. The 1st pic shows the busted thread connection the second pic shows the location on the exhaust mainfold with a red marker where the thread issue is on the head.
Thanks for any help or ideas!

Do you mean like a stud mount?
