What did you accomplish today?

I started taking apart the engine of a mustang with a 170 ci 6 cylinder and the head has a broken thread connector that connects to the exhaust manifold. It is a 1st generation mustang with a generator, and I'd like to use the original head. Haven't driven the car for 10 years but in the past it did not seem to be a problem. I feel I could use it like this without having an exhaust leak when doing the rebuild. Are there ways to restore this damaged area? It would not need to be torqued tight IMO if there was a way to rebuild the threads. The 1st pic shows the busted thread connection the second pic shows the location on the exhaust mainfold with a red marker where the thread issue is on the head.
Thanks for any help or ideas!

I'm not sure what I'm seeing there or what you mean by "thread connection"
Do you mean like a stud mount?

I'm not sure of the terminology.
Here are some more pics.

The 1st pic is of the front threads on the heads that are good. The last two pics are of the opposite end where the thread connection is busted in half, in the back. I'm about to take the heads out. I can get better pics.

My son installed the hog fence around my big outdoor plant for me, that should hold it up the next time it gets a BT bath. Had to cut the lock on the top of the BT sprayer to get it open but got it moved into another sprayer with a better spray pattern. Got a steak out for dinner.

This morning, I finally figured out why my mower wouldn't self-propel anymore. Last 2 days of manually pushing this heavy bitch around in the sand and heat haven't been pleasant. Really should retire this thing, but she's still so damn reliable. About 2/3 of the mowing is done. One big overgrown section left to tackle still. Gonna be so much easier with the mower doing the work.

Today I did more of the usual bullshit. But tomorrow we’re having a fifth birthday party for our youngest grandson. Cooking a brisket, I think it’s good to be a good day. Ohh I don’t know if I’ve mentioned it but we’re expecting a new granddaughter for Christmas…..on Christmas Day.
