I'm trying corn for the first time. And it's actually colonizing a lot quicker than the birdseed. I knocked these Monday night it's only Thursday and these jars have growth all over them. And with the same syringe I did the bird seed and they Barely have any growth at all. It's my first time using it and with my luck. I'll have problems down-the-line with it somewhere LOL.

Your corn is a tad undercooked especially if you are fruiting from spawn (which you don't seem to do...it's just a short cut anyway).
The trick is to be sure the kernels are completely colonized, like if you figure it's done wait another few days anyway.
I have always had great luck with popcorn, next is rye, next grass seed wbs is, in my opinion, crap.
As I said, you deliver a great deal of extra nutrients when you use an abundance of corn to spawn with. And, if you use a lot of spawn you don't much have to worry about the number of innoculation points.
Corn is the best choice for slurry spawning, the pH drops slowly and if you mix it with water crystals you can get huge, HUGE second and third flushes.
It's hard to over saturate or overcook corn, it produces less starch than rye and even when the kernels burst you still have a viable mass.
I have also never seen corn overly contaminated like rye.
Does your bird seed burst?
