Those district heating systems are breaking down. We used to use them for heating bases and such during WW2 and are still used in NY in places. They can be converted to geothermal and heat pumps too in some cases, but steam is hard to make with a heat pump.

So, Russia looks screwed for a generation, a decade at least with crumbling infrastructure mostly supplied over the last 30 years by their adversaries in exchange for oil. For a county of their size, they have no real manufacturing base and were a like the oil rich Arab countries, dependent on oil while the rest of the old soviet economy that they had left withered away and was taken by corruption. They have an incompetent corrupt authoritarian kleptocracy, with a fool for a leader apparently. Over the next decade the world will transition away from fossil fuels, and they will have diminished markets, lower prices and competition as everybody sells it while they can or leaves it in the ground, including America. Joe has an edge that previous presidents didn't have and can open the taps wide for gas and oil and not worry about future energy supplies as much, particularly gasoline and diesel.

Russia faces a bleak prospect for the next decade, as the world transitions on energy and industry they will have a crumbling infrastructure and be driving old ICE vehicles from Europe until they ban their export there along with parts. By 2035 Europe should be powered by wind and solar for the most part and have HVDC interconnectors and battery storage systems and most people should be driving an EV. After a few years America could ban petroleum exports and just use its domestic supplies, if most transportation was electric and it wasn't used to generate electricity, except for NG with gas turbine generators being used in emergencies.

Long term it does not look good for Russia, even if they ended the war today and elected Jesus as president, the damage is done, and a generation screwed. The world will rapidly move on, and they will be left behind and I think they will lose this war and be driven from all of Ukraine. Vlad is on the ropes and if Joe is reelected with a democratic congress at his back Vlad is fucked and knows it. If he was smart, he would just leave Ukraine right after the election in America if Joe won. If not, he will be driven from Ukraine and might end up tossed out a window or licking his wounded asshole for a long time behind his borders. If he wants to come out later, he will be facing a militarized Europe with Ukraine as it's well armed attack dog, eager for a piece of Vlad. They have taken the measure of the bear and figure they can handle him without America, if required.

they really didn't give any info on that, fuel consumption, and armament, and or amount of cost of said vehicle. It would be intesting to find out though overall. I have seen RC Jets before, i've just never messed with them as a hobby....

You get people wanting to get in on the action with their newest mousetrap. Is it economically practical? Can it do things a prop driven plane can't? A lot less technology goes into a piston driven engine.

that's true, i've been working with aircooled engines for long time, and the tech they used was actually very simple and also economic....

we've also used these engines in experimental air craft too as well as air boats......
