Thanks, and no problem at all with the questions.
I've noticed that the usually fluffy popcorn buds are swelling and fattening up, bust mostly on the sides of the plant that are closest to those corner lights.
I bought the Mars hydro, LED bloom strips, because I already use their gear and it seems like decent quality. The heat rise was very minimal. Maybe 2 degrees.

Thanks for considering Spider Farmer! Our UV bars are specifically designed to enhance weed growth, promoting higher THC and CBD levels. They’re a great addition to your setup, especially during the flowering stage. :weed:

I made a rookie mistake!
I put a male plant into 12/12. I grew a Sensi Seeds, Shiva Skunk and topped it multiple times and vegged it for 8 weeks.
I grow regular seeds often, but for some reason, I had a brain fart, and thought it was an S1.
I discovered it 5 days in flower, pulled it immeadiately, and put it in the backyard last week.
I think it may have been a blessing in disguise!
Today, I checked and the ball sacks are opening. I'm going outside to collect some pollen. I have a Malawi girl, 8 weeks in flower, with 4-6 weeks to go. I'm going to make a Malawi/Skunk cross!IMG_0758.jpeg

That's going to be an interesting cross, that Malawi just sounds awesome!

*and as Bob Ross would say, there are no mistakes...Just HAPPY LITTLE ACCIDENTS

That ShIva turned out a male. I misread the package and thought I was growing an S1 female! :wall:
I caught it in time, and threw it outside. I was collecting pollen outside today, except it started raining. lol
I may have to wait until this afternoon for things to dry out. I don't want to waste that strain's genetics. I'm going to cross it with my Malawi girl.

I think the amazing growth, vitality of that Malawi is great! If I can shorten the flower time with a Skunk cross, I may have a big yielder that finishes in 10-12 weeks, instead of 14-16.

I didn't take cuts off the Malawi, so I think making a cross will be worth the work, and wait, of this long flowering land race.

Sounds like a good plan and a nice cross.

I misread S1 for F1 with the Cap Junky. Posted I hope I get a female out of 4. Then a friend pointed out the error..lol Stoner moments!

Why not grow all of them out and see the keepers then? For growth and final smoke. "Can't really say you like the movie until you get all the way through it" If you get what I mean.

I'd like too, but I've got a small 5x5 in a perpetual, so I can only pick one. I try to stagger a strain in flower every couple weeks. Its hard to do a big pheno search with my small setup.
I usually pick one that shows decent growth structure, or a particular sativa/indica leaf pattern I'm looking for. I do waste a few seeds and veg space in the process.

Keep cuttings going. Flower as you can.

I pollinated a branch of the Ace seeds Malawi, with Sensi seeds Shiva Skunk.
I removed it from the tent, placed it in the drying closet down the hall, and brushed a branch. I'm leaving it in the closet until tomorrow morning.

I hope I have enough time for it to make seeds. It's been in 12/12 for 8 weeks now, so I figure I have a month or more. The pistils on the branch I chose, were fresh and white.
Its a monster! I hung a clothespin on a cola for perspective. The buds are as fat as my fist and still swelling.
