Tent smelled like grape candy upon opening this morning. Grape Bubba is looking a little extra frosty compared to the rest

Pics: GB, SC, MTF (more vigorous pheno), MTF (shorter pheno), All.

MTFs smell like chocolate covered cherries and earthy cotton candy. GB smells like grape big league chew. SC smells like wintergreen/ricola cough drop. All are setting up pretty nicely.

19 days in. Grape Bubba (pic) - the biggest and most vigorous plant, is showing a little yellowing down below and dropped a couple leaves this week. I think she’s hungry. Another one of my more vigorous plants showed some similar hunger issues after the stretch around week 3/4 in a similar soil mix. So far, it’s been RO water only, with a one-time shot of coconut/aloe. They’ve been drinking a ton of water this week.

The MTF in front is showing a little bit of possible light sensitivity, tops are a little light in color. Moved the light up a couple inches.

The SC is pretty easy and not finicky.

Im putting together a little top dressing to let them eat if they feel like it : 1/4 cup Alfalfa meal (3-1-3), 1/4 cup crab shell meal (4-3-0) and 1 cup kelp meal (0-0-1) split up among the 4.

4th pic - SC

5th MTF
I notice some plants are on the ground, is that something you usually do? I see most folks using risers and I wonder how beneficial they truly are. I have my 3 gallon pots in milk crates

I’m just trying to keep the canopies close to level, so I raised the one in front when the one behind it stretched. I don’t really get any runoff with this method, so there’s no need for me to elevate them or use drip trays for collection. If it was colder, I’d elevate them to keep the root zone off of the cold floor.

Day 28 - Group shot, Grape Bubba, Saint’s Crossing, MTF (compact pheno) MTF (bigger pheno).

Grape Bubba and the big MTF are both getting a bit lighter colored and dropped a few leaves. GB has red stems from light stress? I had a difficult and busy week and had a bit of a dryback and then overcompensated with the water :-(. They are also the 2 that got the biggest/tallest, and are getting the most light. I should learn how to use that little red uni-T meter.

I have worm castings on the way, and will probably make a mild casting tea to help the micro critters, and dim the lights a bit (currently 80%). Ive got more precooked soil I can top dress with too. The Saints Crossing is not picky and cruises along. The little MTF in the back corner is difficult to get to, but has been happy so far.

I’ll probably run them a second time and try flipping earlier after transplant, and do it when they’re smaller - lesson learned. I’ve got rooted backups. Keep pushing for that perfect run, lol, one day….

Makin some worm casting tea with about 2 cups castings, and a tbsp of alfalfa, kelp, and molasses in the mix. Washed (well) and then tore up a comfrey leaf for each plant from the veggie garden, for shits n giggles. Happy Halloween/trick or treat experiment I guess. It should hopefully help add some microbes because it’s a healthy plant. Hopefully the tea helps too. I gave the 2 stressed plants a top dressing of some cooked soil to eat - the same stuff they’ve eaten their whole lives.

Maybe my mix needs to be stronger? The veg plants like it and plants do well in early flower, but the plants that really explode after flip all start to look hungry and stressed at around week 4. I need to find my notes and post my soil mix for some smarter people to check out. I’ve seen recs for the same amount and then almost double the amendments.

The Saints Crossing is basically my “control” plant. I know if she gets upset, I probably really fucked something up. Humidity has risen this week to 50% in the basement and it’s raining. Set up 2nd dehumidifier. Plants are drinking slower and didn’t get water this morning.

pics : tea, bottom of Grape Bubba showing the yellowing.

Sounds like a good tea to me I'm sure they will like it

Fired up the 3rd light at 50% to start lighting up the middle and have it high up to disperse the light more evenly. I’ll move it down and increase % as necessary. The plants on the left side plants are creepin in towards the middle, and need the light. I was hoping to keep that space clear for working, but they’re eating and growing fast. I hope my soil mix holds out.

The Spider Farmer light is a little bit different spectrum than the Viparspectra so it‘ll be nice to have variety in the spectrum. Plants are starting to set flowers, and canopies are lookin pretty good.

My current profile bud shot is from my last run of the Saint’s Crossing (front left plant, running it again).
I hope the ladies did not have diabetes like Buttercup :p

Pic of the backups/moms from this run. Also a pic of soil mix, in chicken scrawl than most likely only I can read. I was writing it down as I go, and shoulda sat down at a desk. Left is Grape Bubba, the 2 broadleaf plants middle are the 2 MTFs, and Saints Crossing is the big girl on the right. They’re all pretty happy in this exact same soil mix, just getting plain RO water. I guess my big girls are just demanding.

All the flowering girls got top dressed with the tea solids, about 3 quarts of tea and 1 quart of water (1 gallon total). All the little ones all got a shot of tea too.

Adding mass one day at a time. Spears are forming on the SC and GB, pic 1. Satellite clusters are forming around the colas on the MTFs (the more vigorous one has “stretchier branches” - pic 2 - than the more compact pheno - pic 3. Stretchy pheno is very sweet, like cotton candy. The compact one smells more as described/expected - chocolate, sangria, spicy and sweet.

Day 38 ish?

This is my happy place. There are many others like it, but this one is mine!
1731003536880.jpeg

It’s not a very big space, but when the skies are cloudy and the days look gray, this is my fortress of solitude. I can’t control a whole lot in the big world, but I am the god of my little space, and that helps to center me.

Rockin on, probably about halfway through. The MTF in front is starting to develop a little purple in the tops. The shorty sister behind it is becoming a fuzzy little frost bomb.

MTF bottom leaves yellowing a bit (1st pic) must be gettin hungry again, but at the same time, has slight tip burn from the last feed. It’s been several weeks since that last top dressing. Still really happy with how she and her sister are doing.

2 cups worm castings, 3/4 cup kelp, 1/4 cup alfalfa, 1/4 cup crab. This will probably the last bit of nitrogen they get, outside of worm castings. I know, most people cut nitrogen in flower, but they still have some time left and are pretty big plants. They’re telling me they still need some.

The lower ones can turn yellow due to lack of light, this happens often.

I don't see hunger there, Bro. And when the tips of the upper leaves dry out, it's not hunger, but the opposite. Although of course it's up to you to decide, this is just my opinion.

The buds are great!

What kind of diodes do you have on your lamp, if it's not a secret?

2 cups worm castings, 3/4 cup kelp, 1/4 cup alfalfa, 1/4 cup crab.
This is very unclear to me..))

What are crabs?)) real crabs?

For us, crabs are a big exotic.)) We don't use them as fertilizers.

But I understood one thing, that the fertilizers that the author uses are excellent fertilizers, judging by the plants.

I would also like to know what fertilizers for flowering are used here.

2 cups worm castings
This is probably vermicompost?

1/4 cup alfalfa
and this is not clear to me either

Vermicompost is worm castings aye bud also alfalfa is alfalfa meal the crab meal isn't just about plant nutrition the chitin in it helps strengthen a plants sar response you can use a insect source for it instead of you preferred

Now I understand, it's a grass like clover.

Also a very interesting solution, I've never heard of such fertilizers.
Alfalfa contains a natural pgr or plant growth regulators as well as for the npk value don't worry it's nothing like the dodgy man made ones it's good stuff also kelp has some of its own natural pgrs in it too
