Old School Skunk, who's found it???

The only skunk 1 I ever had was the good orange bud cut they sold in the amsterdam coffee shops in the 90's. I smoked a lot of that. Pure skunk 1 selection. Sweet citrusy orange terps, old school up high. Not the strongest per se, but probably the most pleasant high I've ever experienced. Very sociable, talkative stuff. Trippy in that sense that it would really elevate anything. Music, conversation, the sites on a long walk. Don't bother with the dutch passion seeds though. Absolute garbage. Haven't been to amsterdam in over 20 years now, I assume that cut is lost. And any current seeds out there ain't worth a $!@#

Really weird but I just read all about the Orange bud about two hours ago. That's synchronicity...have you been tripping lately? Lol...
What I don't get is they say they did large skunk selections in 1980...did they get those first skunk seed packs in the mail in 1980? Since Dave W. didn't go to Amsterdam until 1985.
The skunk#1 I have is what was given away by Dave Watson thru Gypsy Nirvana and Seeds Direct I think it was called.
Sometimes I hate how the internet changes...you used to be able to do a search and see a freebie pack from Gypsy Nirvana and Dave Watson. It was not the other $5000.00 pack of Dave Watson Skunk. This one said, " The ultimate seed pack in any collection." I showed that to someone and now you cannot find it. Can't remember the seedbank name who had it.

Id say that's the weaker side of skunk #1(Dutch orange bud) a nice cheese or something like that would be the stronger/darker side of it skunk special is the stronger high side of it it's lighter as in it's a upbeat happy high Vs the heavier body feeling of cheese some folk find the cheese a bit dark if it's all they got to smoke for a while as in they get depressed I never get it personally with it but heard it said many times by many folk

That's strange to me. I have not had cheese except as a full spectrum vape and I thought the buzz to be skunk#1. But the skunk I have, I have smoked for years off of one crop and never got depressed though I think I was kinda manic from all the sativa upness.
I am proud to report- this is something pretty cool- that I got 100% germination on the 21+ year old skunk seeds. That exceeds my expectations to say the least.

They didn't spray anything. American corn responded to sulfated fatty acids in American grasshopper saliva. Until the seed companies bred that natural response out of American corn. But we don't talk about that.

American plant breeders are bad, bad people, working for evil chemical companies. Tell everyone you know. In 20 years no one will remember what weed tastes or felt like or what it's medicinal uses were.

Been doing seed runs of orange bud from msnl, older seeds, only one male, and back crossed at some point. To me it is skunk crossed with mexican a long time ago, skunk instant high but mexican feel to it, not overpowering like a pure skunk. The latest one I like, citrus smell, instant high, enjoyable like you describe, but only 2 hours long, nice fade tho, have not ran its seeds yet.

There's even a cutting that got renamed the suicide cut as a bunch of lads some of them found it a bit dark it don't do it to me that's great news on the seeds bud nice one

They have a touch of it in there I agree but none of that's full on skunky skunk I do think there's skunk in there genepool somewhere but as there bagseed numbers we can only guess its more fuel rubber and funk like garlic and stuff like that than full on skunky to me og is kinda rubbery fuelly lemon pledge to me

Alot of stuff has skunky odors. The banghi haze I grew in veg after getting some fish emulsion had a wonderfully skunky smell.

I don't think I am familiar with this breeder. I've been following the seed industry since it's inception and it's hard to know who to trust with all of the new companies.

I need guidance...I am thinking of selling two clones to a shop for kind brother prices....and I really need the dough...but now I am not sure I should. I have not seen what they grow. They might grow shit and go around saying this is the skunk...They plan to sell clones and where is the profit for me in that? They have counter space. Can sell dabs now even.
The people in RVA that ripped me for it really screwed everybody. And if certain RVA companies ever offer sk#1 - when they had no actual Skunk#1 before I showed up-, that's going to be something I speak up about. Greedy noob assholes ripoff artists.
