cool man....so will I be able to use the container for start up? If not man...I can get seperate tomorrow brother. Just let me know

Please post your pics now---I want to get an idea of whom we have in the class.

My pH meter is not working - readings are all over the place. I tried cleaning and calibrating, but no luck - I probably have to replace the probe. So I just did 3 parts peat moss to one part perlite and tossed in a couple of tbsp of dolomite lime and crossed my fingers.

should be fine---we can address any problems as they arise

very nice----good to go!!!

Hey Doc of course I have another Question, I have those power skunks and 5 female Arjans ultra haze 2 and the skunks are twice the size of the haze 2 so my question is should I go and prune or fim them at all ( Im speaking for all my plants ) Now keep in mind my grow area is 10 x 11 x 7'7" and Im definately trying to maximize my yield but I cant figure out whether or not to prune and fim or just let them bud up the middle???????? Please help doc.

OK---So we're at day 3----Please make sure to lift the hood off the domes and spray with water----you can give a little spray on the soil as well but don't go crazy.---If you are covering the cups with plastic there is no need to spray. Some of you might have seedlings starting to poke through the soil:hump:---I've had certain strains pop after 24 hours in the soil after the soak---take a close look and keep an eye out--especially if you have your trays on heat mats. It won't be long now!!!

Still waiting for the tap root to show on my 5 Snow White females. As soon as they crack I'll plant them and when they've sprouted I'll post pics for you.

For comparison----WBINWV is using the paper-towel method and started germinating his seeds 24 hours before our start time.

nothing yet...
cool---some come Earlie---some a little latter. I have had some pop after 24 hours in soil and others 5 days(mostly do to cold)----Most will have popped after 48 to 72 hours---If you room temp is at 76 or lower it may take a little longer---heat mats set to 83 work wonders here.

I will not beshocked if I get no sprouts to start these seeds are getting old and i usedthe best of them in the last grow.

my plants are going to be without hid for about 26 hours(9 days in to 24/7 veg) untill i can replace ballast. will this have longterm effects

Heat mat activated!

Before I used the paper towel method, and they popped overnight. I probably have some taproots already, they just haven't pushed through to the surface yet.

What you say about the micro root hairs makes sense. I have 5 seeds that I sprouted the day before this class started using paper towels to jiffy plugs - it will be interesting to compare the two methods.

kept the seeds in the cup of water for an extra day and they sprouted roots allready 1 seed about 1/4 of an inch an another just barely starting to poke out the shell. ill give em to morning then stick em in a medium. sorry i didnt follow ur instructions all the way but hey it worked and it seems it worked faster than planting them in soil in little red cups

here are the pics of area they are in. the temp is 80*. i dont have the cups yet but will soon.
