please, do the rest of the country a favor and bounce from the union.
It's a win win, you guys can vote nacy patricia D'alesandro pelosi as president of cali and we get rid of her.
lol Do you realize just how meany oranges would need to be sold inorder to balance your budget once off the federal tit?
Point blank: Cali is nothing but a stain to the rest of america..

Why so negative? Cali is leading the way in reforming marijuana laws. gotta give them credit for being ahead of the curve..

Los Angeles County spends over $350,000,000 per MONTH paying people who are on the county dole. Add to that the fact that Los Angeles County is the largest employer in the state (government workers) and you begin to see the enormity of the situation.

Vi
Round up all the illegals, give them a couple of joints and show them to the border.

I still think the majority of people would buy rather than grow. How many people brew their own beer or wine?
I always say the same thing. If herb became legal, I honestly believe that more people would use it instead of smoking cigz and drinking beer. We are a nation that places a huge emphasis on time management, everyone wants shit done yesterday and the day before that if possible. I know that some would grow but the majority would want to go out and buy a pack of joints on the way home from work, not go home and tend to a crop. There would be enough smokers that would gladly buy taxed weed which would still put a hefty chunk of money in the Feds hands. Its going to happen, it is just a matter of time. I think within the next 1-10 years.

LOL.. FDD I didn't mean to hijack if I did. But to quickly respond to you, those kinda gun restrictions are acceptable to some, and that's fine, to each their own. I just personally don't agree with it- while home invasion self defense is certainly one of the reasons I own guns, it isn't my main reason- the 2nd amendment was originally intended to safeguard the citizens from a tyrannical government, because the concept was tyranny cannot exist if the citizens are able to protect themselves and their rights. Now, bearing in mind that that is my main reason for gun ownership, perhaps you can see why I have a problem with asking permission from such government IF I can own a weapon, having to register said weapon, fully identify myself and what I have to protect myself with, etc. I just view all the restrictions as the government trying to turn my right into a privilege.

For other posters real quick. You can usually test different guns out at any range. Classes, renting different guns, and testing out different products, usually can be done at the range. And Miss, a lot of ranges even offer women specific gun classes.

Start a different thread if anyone wants to take this convo further..

Ok, hijack over.. sorry FDD.. please forgive me. kiss-asskiss-ass

619, most people don't write or call these people at all.. seriously.. there's so many people who just say they're pissed and active but aren't. Call your rep and and when you talk to the secretary ask her how many calls she's been getting about it.. betcha it isn't much..

Call, write, fax.. last resort email (though mass emails are much easier to ignore and less efficient)

I like where you live, Very pretty country, even if guns are hard to come by. I have enough guns to last through all the crap that's to come, I may need more ammo.

Good info thanks. I agree with you, I know so many smokers that talk a big game about how they should legalize but when I ask them if thay have done anything to help the cause and they say no or "I was going to but" shit like that. Well I will print these letters out and start mailing them in. Thanks again.

Yea plenty, always wins in favor of legalization by at least 65% every time. CNN just had a leading Harvard Economist say that he and many other believe legalization of MJ could generate 88 Billion dollars a year in taxes and tourisim, thats including the amount that would be saved from fighting MJ. Police would now be free to work on more serious crimes instead of wasting their time on harmless MJ. Tons of jobs would be created in the FDA, cultivation, distribution, sales, marketing, small businesses, and organizations to oversee these processes. The only way to control a substance that is in demand is by regulating it. By making MJ illegal, a black market is created and then, organized crime enters that market to fill that demand. If you don't learn from history your are doomed to repeat it! Prohibition invited Al Capone and his thugs back then and now we have the same thing but on a larger scale. This shit is so basic Econ 101! Poll after Poll after Poll shows that the U.S. is ready, willing, and able to consume MJ responsibly. We just have to stand up and say so instead of taking these little polls from the privacy of our PC's.
