ok. so i decided to try my custom strain. i will wonder about it until i try it so i figure sooner rather than later. i just put 25 seeds into wool plugs. hopefully they take. that should give me 10-12 nice females. thats all i need. lol. i wanted to get this going now so i can have the yield that much sooner. i can now get the growtent out of my room as it is no longer necessary. but i love it anyways. well hope these things sprout.

sounds like you had a productive day....I just recently built a small cabinet, out of a book shelf i had laying around....got 2 spirl florecent bulbs and a small fan in there ... 4 clones and one seedlin going now...they are takeing off...really just waiting for the good seeds to arrive...

roll. nice. homemade is the way to go. and then walmart. lol. theyre both cheap. heres my clone that i started treating better. my lowryders which hopefully will turn around and my shelf. i made a light mount to but i need my sisters boyfriend to hold it in place while i secure it. tomorrow though for sure. hes drunk right now. lol. and heres the 25 i started today. i only want 8 to 12 nice females. it should fill the shelf either way.

Looks good, my cabinet is a similar size.. Are those 4ft bulbs? My space is not quite 4ft, might be able to get 4 two footers though.. The light with the long bulbs is much more even than the spirl bulbs right on top of the clones now...i think

roll. mine are 4 footers. i put spacers on the 1 side of the cabinet made from dowel to fit the lights. when i move the cabinet it can go back to normal with no damage. it needed about 2 inches in width to fit the lights. they dont sell a cabinet anywhere that is 48 inches internal diametre. i looked everywhere. i am going to mount the lights today to the top of the cabinet. i'll put the hpss on the top shelf so the heat will easily vent fro the top. i went to the store today and the guy said if i burn hi a cd with soe pics like a slideshow of the hempstars and the lowryders he would give me any seeds i wanted. i' going for it. if you guys have any pics i can put on there that you know the strain theyll be played at the cannibis cup. this store is a major sponsor and is on the cup site. i dont even really care about the seeds as i'm trying the lowryder again and my own strain so i wont be able to use them for a few months anyways. roll keep those pics coming. seeya.

Can't believe my luck! Just checked and my biggest lowryder 2 plant is a male. So disappointing, oh well, the others are doing well, so I'll hope for the best. If not I have the northern lights #5x haze, brainstorm, white russian and all the freeby seeds from attitude, so I won't fret too much.

wannabee. its ok. the shorter 1s will become more bushy. you watch keep that male for awhile longer and it will stretch into a crazy beanpole. but id throw it now so no pollen gets anwhere. so far none of my new strain have sprouted. its been around 30 hours. they are warm but slightly less than id like. but i have infinite seeds so i dont care. lol. just experimenting. my lowryders are slowly coming back. hopefully i can save them and get my yield going again. maybe i just wasted time. sucks though but its ok. it happens....

roll. just unscrew your cabinet and add some spacers if 4 foot lights are close to fitting. if you buy any other length the price is more and the bulb selection is less. 2 footers are not half the price of 4 footers. thats whats rough.

hey all, thanks for he kind words. i'm over that setback. hoping at least one of th remaining 6 plants is a female, we shall see. i've just decided only to buy feminized seeds from now on. i wish the roots of my remaining six would meet the water better, it seems slow going....

finially got my seeds today, the first order was, Ceres Seeds White Widow Feminized, 5 of those....plus the free ones they threw in...THAI SUPER SKUNK 5 Reg SEEDS, (1) G13 Labs PURE Power FEM (1) Skunk No. 1 FEM (1) G13 Labs Pure Gold ...

Im starting with 2 white widows and the pure power....got some other diesel strain comming also....so exciting!!

And yea 1982, i think im going to use my 150hps in my veggin box and looking at a 400 or a 600 cool tube for flowering, plus an exhaust fan....

Sounds like you have a lot of fun coming up roll. My second and larger 2 plants are looking like they want to finish soon. Hopefully not 16 weeks like the mother huh 1982. It's some killer smoke though, Some one told me they thought it might be white widow. It sure is frosty enough. Definitely more in the hydro plants than the soil grown mother. The soil one did come out great though. Doing clones is a great way to be only doing known females in your flower area.

Never grew auto strains before, first time. I have 5 AK47 x Lowrider #2, all fems, 4 going hydro and 1 soil, thinking about putting her outside.

nice setup man. maybe youll be extra lucky cause of the date. my lowryders are turning around slowly but i lost at least 50% yield. very pissed. i'm going to start new lowryders soon though. 1 mistake nearly killed them. they are greening up though again and i'm removing very few dead leaves now. but damn they are thin. couple decent buds but nothing worth the hassle.
hash- clones are always the way to go. i'm going to cheat on the 1s i just planted because i have so many seeds. my plant isnt ready for cutting yet so i just planted tons of seeds and will flower them small and take my pic. no more pollen. i figure i can waste a few thousand seeds. lol. but once the mother is big enough i wont need seeds at all. but i'm in a hurry. lol i needed to start agian now.

so some bastard stole my pics. i just saw my pic in the random thumbs section. only prob is someone else took the credit. i'll take as compliment. but how many people on here are claiming to have a grow and are using fake pics. prob a bunch. my seeds havnt popped yet but a few are really swelling. they need a heating pad but if none work then i'll get it out. just want to see if these seeds are at all viable.

Got a question for you guys...sunday will be end of week 5, of flowering...The question is when should i start flushing??

The foxfarms chart goes to 8 weeks of flowering, but im sure every strain is different...But i have no idea what im actually growin... so any suggestions on when to start??

i would start when you first feel signs that they are ready to harvest. that way you can have a week or so of straight water. but most strains wot be near finished in 5 weeks unless flowered very small. wait till you think they are ready. which is prob going to be slightly early because you get anxcious. then flush and by another week you can pick. or let them go longer in straight water. but prob another week or 2 at least before flushing. just most strains though.

Like 1982 said, wait until you see signs that they want to finish. Not just the white hairs turning brown but maybe some trics turning amber. I would not want to rush the flush though since you are taking all the nutes away to soon.

Yea they deff got another 3wks left i think, i will keep checking with the magnifine glass.....On my first gro im pretty sure i harvested way to early, it just did not get you that high....so im taking my time now

Also i think the uvb light really works, theres tons of crystal... it seems like all the tops that have been near the light really are crystalized.....

ive heard good things about uvb. 10% total wattage of lights supposedly makes a huge diff. now that you say that. i'm def going o have to get 1. petsmart should have them. my lowryders are coming back still but are damaged for sure. i wont yield much from them. but the cool thing is that some of my homemeade cross seeds are sprouting tails. it should be slightly warmer under them but theyre sprouting. with my luck i'll get half auto and half regular. lol. we'll see. they should be through the rockwool by tomorrow. i do think that the flouros flower fine. i can tell they were budding fast until the wrong bottle mistake. they are putting on a little weight slowly now. i'm just straight flushing them anyways cause they are over 65 days now. but they dont appear done. i think you can finish them in 8 weeks if you use small light setups otherwise they get big. but all mine stayed at or under the maximun height the company claimed so thats good. i was hoping for 7 of amcs though. instead i got 7 of amcs minus half the weight. sucks. cant wait to try this. i might pick the runt anytime. even if it has a spurt it wont yield more than 4 dry grams.

I saw a thread on the uvb and the guy had pics of with and with out the bulbs. With them the buds were much frostier. This is a good thread and short. I couldn't find the ones with the pics. But some good info on this one.
