So the trichs on the calyxes go like this...
On the top bud: 80% Amber
On a middle bud in the light: 40-50%
On a lower bud kinda shaded: 20% Amber
I couldn't get any pictures of the trichs through the scope. I tried to get some more of the calyxes...
The main reason I am thinking about this is I am going to be pretty busy until monday... so I either start today or put it off at least 4 days.
Maybe I'll just cut the main cola (don't know if it's big enough to qualify) off the one and let the bottom catch up over the weekend.
Oh... and I'm hppy because my White Widow has a bit of head high in it... I never realised as I haven't smoked it much and usually smoke a HS right after. But yeah... I think it could hold me over ok till the Sour Deisel cross gets ready in a few months. Man I'm excited for that.

I put a cute picture of 4 of my cats... they were all looking at a bird. They are siblings... girl on the left, 3 boys. And on the right are logs... yes... I live in a log cabin, haha.

Your plants are bathing in trichomes lol. I'm just curious as to why the title says 650w hps/mh if you grew with t5/8. Just curious not being mean.

Ok... so I looked back. I bought the clones on May 1. I turned off the lights for about 36 hours on May 20. So I guess I vegged them almost 3 weeks. They took 6 days of 12/12 before all were showing pistils. That was May 26.
I put them in the closet on June 23, I beleive. So roughly a month under the big lights.
Not that it matters, but how on earth would I calculate grams per watt?
I'm going to cut the top of the one plant down now. Trim it up and show you guys some pics.

No worries mystic (i would never call you clown). My big plan was to Grow my first set of plants for the alloted 9 weeks. While they were finishing I was going to veg these purple kush clones under the t5/t8, then flower them under the big lights.
My first plants did not cooperate and took an extra 5 weeks to finish. So while these girls have spent less than 1/3 their life under HID... the were meant to spend most of their lives there.
Oh, and I thought I was going on vacation in about 2 weeks from now when I was planning all this, so I was up against a wall. Now no vacation, so I could have kept them vegging until the closet opened up and had double the yeild. Oh well... I still have more pot than I know what to do with, but I don't know as if I'll ever have a stack like in your avatar........ That is my favorite avatar of all time by the way.
And lastly I would love to change the tread title to better represent the grow. I've changed my signature so many times and then figured no one would pay that close attention... after all most people on here are potheads.

Since they spent 1/3 of flower under 650 watts, I would take a third of 650 watts and use that. Only seems fair to me.

I'll tell you this giant bud looks soooo tasty. It's so cool to see how different the strains are from eachother. I don't know if it is just becase it's freshest in my mind, but I think I like the structure of the purple kush the most of the 3 types I've grown. And I've got to say... this plant is TOUGH. Before when I trimmed I could kinda bend a leaf down to snip it (if that makes sense). WIth this plant there is no pulling the leaves down... they are where they are, no squeezing my scissors between buds they were jammed together.
After trimming I'm still not sure on yeild. I'm thinking maybe only 3 zips from the lot... I would be happy with anything over 2... and anything close to 4 or more would be awesome.
Plant heights are 10", 11", 12", 13". I am cutting down the 12". The 10" is the topped one with the multiple buds.
Pics later... I have them but am in a bit of a rush now.
Even the trim looks nice.

but shit man great pics did you put that food out there for him or is that your cats food ?? i bet you could pet him if you wanted to just bring a stick with you ........... have you ever seen the show Stranger Among Bears....that guy is nuts but given the chance i would live there to.

wow man ur doin a wicked job i love comin home and seeing you have updated, never fails to impress me and keep me interested, just wondering though, dont u trim a little close to the buds ? i always get too scared and leave a few sweet leaves or half sweet leaves on there cause they r plastered in thc

I was just sittng here trimming the second plants top thinking how picky I was. Even when I separate my trim, I only take leaves covered all over in my sugar trim. If the trichs only go out halfway on the leaf, they go on the extra trim pile. I think it's just because I have so much and have the time to trim I can be picky.dont u trim a little close to the buds ? i always get too scared and leave a few sweet leaves or half sweet leaves on there cause they r plastered in thc
In all things in life I have a very high standard, and I hold others to the same. I think it may actually be my biggest downfall. It's hard for me to like people becuase they always disappoint me.... but again I don't think it is them but my high standards. I also get down on myself when I don't live up to my expectations.
Again in growing my high standards have run up the money spent, time spent, and effort exerted ramp out of control.
At the end of it all I have some killer super trimmed herb, a sore thumb, sore back, horribly sore shoulders, and some unexplicable redness in my eyes.
How's that for a long answer.
