Not a right

First of all, you don't know what they have or not, so you are whistling in the dark.

Iran does have nukes right now. It may not be operable, but that is only a matter of putting it together. Ppl seem to think that if there is no physical bomb out on the launch pad there is nothing to worry about. Wrong. Iran has the centrifuges.....they have the yellowcake .... they have the rocket. iran has nukes.....now it is simply a matter of when they either threaten to or indeed use it.

Just like they SAY they will.....

I know why you don't want to hit that thread, but don't worry, I'm going to do it anyway.... very obvious by the way...very.

Woo...US spies? Okay. You are misreading their data.....or you haven't read it at all. IF the Iranians want to wait for their Highly enriched nuke, then yes "possibly" by 2012. Consider though that every estimate has been off and Iran has always been a surprise in that area. Russia's bomb was a COMPLETE surprise to Truman by the way...so.

But back to our story.... however, if Iran chooses to use their low enriched uranium instead.... they need only assemble the parts...they are good to go. The reports are counting on Iran waiting for the highly enriched (and totally illegal) uranium to finish up.

They are good to go.....just a couple of months and voila...nukes.

Just as a point of contention CJ, where do you get your info on this subject?
Although a halt to the nuclear weapons programme is significant, the NIE is far from a clean bill of health for Iran. Tehran is pushing ahead with its uranium enrichment programme, which has only limited civilian use and could be quickly converted to nuclear military use. The NIE warned that Iran could secure a nuclear weapon by 2010. The US state department's intelligence and research office, one of the agencies involved, said the more likely timescale would be 2013. All the agencies concede that Iran may not have enough enriched uranium until after 2015.
Who should be believed??

Obviously Iran is of little threat and anyone willing to do a little research into the issue would know that. Pakistan could prove to be a greater threat IMO especially with the emerging instability brought on by our invasion of Iraq. The whole region is on edge now of course Iran is trying to display strength.

Maybe sending another 30,000 troops to Afganistan will help ease muslim hatred for the western world

I disagree on the threat assessment NG. I think Israel does as well. The gloves will come off sometime soon.

The only reason why the thread is buried is because I leave it there. But thaniks again for the reminder. It will be up tonite....thanks again.

Im with you on this one. Ive argued for days if not weeks with CJ that Iran isnt the threat. IMHO N.Korea and the Pakistan region are the place to be worried about. At any one given time there are 500 000 Pakistanis and Indians all lined up ready for war also...Iran is like a young man flexing his arms in the mirror with nothing much looking back at him. Pakistan and N.korea have been down the gym for years now!:leaf:

 OF COURSE ISREAL DISAGREES!

Israeli's hate Palestinians, Palestinians hate Israelis. As a result Arabs hate Jews and vice versa. They don't care what weapons the other side has they just want to kill each other . . .

We support an open policy of racism in the middle east by providing Isreal with weapons. These people will never get along and we need to stop trying to control their governments and economies.

Of course that will never happen because the US is the largest arms trader to the rest of the world and supports war. Well I guess it's war when there is only one army . . .

So yes I would not be surprised if we find some ridiculous reason to use military force in Iran, but tho believe that Iran is a threat is like believing there were WMD's in Iraq:wall:

Well, Iranians are not Arabs...that's first. They are Persians. What they want is to regain power over the region and elevate the glorious Persian days of yesteryear. They want respect....not from us...but from their region. Israel is the key for Iran.

It is the prize.

yes, WOO, over there, where Ramadan takes place as a homogeneous event. The Middle East as an example, not London or Chicago..

I dated a persian girl, her father left Iran because he was one of the few Jews, he would have been killed. Many Persians believe they exist, better than lower races, even the Jewish ones . . .

The history dates back thousands of years, neither side is in the right. Just because the Jews were oppressed for thousands of years does not make them the chosen people and give them the divine right to murder Palestinians.

Best said by Ghandi I suppose "An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind"

Why should the United States be involved with thousands of years of blind racism?

The only reason the middle east poses a threat to us is because the powers that be also believe they have some "divine" right to rule, the world, and our daily lives. Don't believe the elite propganda Jax, they just want you to stay afraid so they can go on building weapons and starting wars . . .

Sorry for asking, I thought you meant a specific region. I have been in Pakistan during Ramadan thats all, many moons ago before the western hatred really came to a head.
