I'm starting a second run of these two cloned from the first time around, and this time I'm actually going to try to document the grow as it happens. Well, as it happens from a few days before switching to 12/12. Plants in veg aren't that interesting to look at, especially when they're just clones I made. So we will pick up from just before 12/12.

I'm also going to start breaking out the Olympus more often as well, but damn if it ain't a pain in the ass so some of the pics will inevitably be off of my Blackberry. I'm working 60 hour weeks right now ('Tis the season!), so if it takes me a bit to get the pics up bear with me but I should stay pretty much on top of it this time.


Here are the facts:

Mandala's Hash Berry out of the pack, 1 pheno.
F1 beans my buddy made from Nirvana's Super Skunk (SS x SS), 3 phenos.

3.5' x 5.5' x 7.5' silver-walled grow tent.

400w switchable HID lamp in 3' vented cooltube w/ 8" in-line fan.

Hortilux EYE bulb (that needs replacing...).

Portable A/C (I live in the south), and a couple of little clip-on fans.

FF Happy Frog soil w/ 20% perlite.

FF Big Bloom, Tiger Bloom, and the solubles lineup.

And the first pics are..........from a couple of days before flipping to 12/12.


1) A shot of all the girls in the veg tent.

2) 4 Hash Berry and 2 Super Skunks (left side of tent).

3) 5 Super Skunks (right side of tent).


You can see the two 2' 8-bulb T5's hanging in the pic. The two separate units allow me to have two different height strains in the same tent without the light being too far away from any of them. If I had the 4' instead I wouldn't have as much flexibility or as efficient use of lumens.

Here is a pic of the 2 that I'm keeping as moms for now. After trimming almost a lb last week during the harvest I just don't have it in me to take cuts like I should be doing. I always takes cuts off the plants, veg the donors for about another week, and then flower out all the adults. It's a lot easier than keeping moms around, I can use less space and lights, and it keeps the genetics in better shape over the long run.

So since I'm way too lazy at the present to take cuts I just kept the smallest HB plant and the smallest SS#5 pheno that I liked the best of all the SS phenos that I cloned. I decided on not cloning all of the 7 phenos of SS that I had, going with what looked like the best 3 at the time, and unfortunately the best sativa pheno didn't end up being one of them. But, I do have plenty of beans from the pollinating I did to the last crop for just that reason. So when I get a chance to grow out the beans from this super high-yeilding sativa pheno that I didn't clone the results should be interesting...

So this post marks the first time in the flowering tent. I moved these girls in last night and snapped this pic right before watering (they needed to be watered pretty bad, finally got around to it). Dropped the light down and readjusted the fans.

Today is day 0 of induced flowering.

The HashBerry's are on the right, SuperSkunks are on the left and middle.

Here's a couple of pics from today. Nothing special going on, just watering tonight. Giving them Tiger Bloom, Big Bloom, Open Sesame, Superthrive, and some Ph Up. They're about 20" tall on average I'd say and just looking really good.

The first is a shot from below the SS canopy, second is a pic of a nice SS, third is few HB plants, and last is one of all 9.

Thanks StinkBud! Man that strawberry diesel sounds bombin. I can't wait to start chiefin on this hashberry that's on day 6 of hang drying. It tastes fruity on the inhale but lemon-lime diesel on the exhale. I think it's going to be my new favorite. I don't have access to dispensaries, so all my strains are ones I get get ahold of through friends. I did order the HB through a seedbank though.

Hello all.

The last several days I've been jarring up the last harvest as it becomes dry. I'm pretty anal so I always nip each little bud off the branch until I get to the top and then just cut the top cola off into the jar as well. It takes a little more time but makes for great bag appeal, and no stems is something that I like.

I use the BIG BIG mason jars from Wal-Mart. I think they're like 1.5 - 2 gallon, and the wide mouth on them makes for easy filling. They can hold a LOT. Lemme see if I have a pic stashed somewhere....

OK well here's the only one I could find. Doesn't really illustrate the size too well, but it does kinda show what all will fit in one!

Since I made seeds this time I'm putting the different strains & phenos in separate jars, so I can bag the beans as I find them. Plus this way I know what I'm smoking on and can chose different strains for different pains.He he. The only problem is....I'm running out of jars!

Anytime man, just gimme the word. It's not that hard. And yeah, I'm through buying seeds too. What a ripoff. Plus I'd rather grow my own creation anyway.

What's pictured in the jar is actually a Kush cross that I grew a while back. I'll put some pics up of the HB buds as soon as I get the chance for ya DoIt. Just gimme a day or two, still at work here right now unfortunately.

I love the HB taste though...very fruity on the inhale, and lemon-lime diesel on the exhale and while growing. Very appealing if you ask me.

DC you are the man!, scribed for sure, haven't seen a jounal with those size pots, Where'd you get em? what kinda yield do you get with how many pots. Really interesting, can't wait to see this one pan out for you!

Yessir Drella, just one 400w switchable for flowering. I used to flip the lamps back and forth, but then I just got lazy and bought a second tent to use as a veg chamber so now the 400w is just for flower. I run a Hortilux EYE HPS.

In my veg tent I have two Hydofarm 2' 8-bulb T5 units for the moms and the cuts.

I've been running 9 in the flowering tent on the last 2 cycles, which seems to be perfect.

Oh and the pots are actually 1.25 gallon hydro buckets. They have a very small footprint (almost all their volume is vertical, about 10" tall), and the bottoms are raised just a tad so the drainage is awesome. I put about a 3/4" layer of straight chunky perlite in the bottom first, and then cut my FF Happy Frog soil with about 15% extra perlite as well. I've never had any plants need bigger pots than this, even when they have gotten to 4' tall. Plus they're our favorite color for reflection, WHITE!

I'll let you all know the yield off of the last run as soon as I weigh it, which'll prob be tomorrow. I'm expecting somewhere in the vicinity of 3/4 lb.

wow dc, gotta look into adding filters in my ff soil next grow. might have to steal your mixture! my pots are bigger, like 3 gal, and roots are already showing, and i just started my first bloom! gonna get some peritlite for sure, I've been just using strait ffof in my pots! check out my gro if you get a chance!
