i am
everytime i see it on a hat or bumper sticker i wonder if that person is part of the kkk or some type of skinhead

So the cross is bad because hitler used it huh...

Just because some asshole white people started using it for hate does not make the symbol one of hate does it.

Did that one strike home for ya cracker
It was a stupid statement :dunce:(and I'm being nice);-)

Ur a small little person aren't you..... your assumptions are ur tell.
I have to agree with you CJ. You can learn a lot about a person who would say something like this. Just because it's what he was exposed to doesn't mean it's like that everywhere or that every white person says shit like that. :leaf:

When I see the stars and bars displayed, I know I have nothing in common with that person except skin color. I also make assumptions about their attitudes toward other races. I also make negative assumptions about the level of the wearer's education and economic status and political affiliation (Yes, I'm a great big snobby snob snob). It's a very bluecollar thing.

Maybe I'm wrong to do that, but it works for me. I make assumptions about black people wearing giant FUBU wear and assume (probably rightly) that we just aren't going to have anything to talk about and would probably be better off staying away from one another to avoid misunderstandings.

Flame away.

i agree with you on that-
when ever i would here a black person call a white person those terms i would allways think to myself that it is having no effect on that person, they will never no the pain a word can cause - so i do agree with you on this

i am a strong believer in that you can never fight fire with fire you have to use water

Because historically, cracker and honkie aren't the main event at a lynching party.

Because some words are not multivalent and can only be used in a context of hatred and subjugation.

the indians used this symbal first, so because of this do you also fly this flag

Because i know the origin of the flag, that flag does not bother me at all.Was it used to do evil, yes it was.But does that make the symbol itself bad!! No it does not.

I'm still trying to decide what you mean; I am the whitest bread Pendleton-shirt-khaki pants-wearing kind of generic white guy. Of course people make assumptions about me. I AM THE MAN! :-P
A lot of this is subjective, so those assumptions are right for them and make sense inside their model of the world. Not necessarily truth, but a working model.
