as i stated previously, i can't sit here and defend the UK so i wont, but this is a story that just popped up onto the bbc so i reacted to it..
and way to apreciate the proble,. burgalrs in the USA have guns, correct, and you know why, self explanatory, you all love em too much to ban them to hell if bad guys get them as well. if a burgalr comes in to my house, i don't care if he's there to steal stuff, i'll whack him on the head and let him rot for a while. killing someone is not NATURAL instinct when you see someone in your house... unless we are VERY different species, cus to me killing someone is a last resort or unless they truly deserve it, i.e they jsut raped and strangled a 14 year old girl they met over facebook.
and so they didn't sign the treaty, so it's not a war crime, my bad, doesn't make it any morally wrong. the guy is crawling along the ground dying and the gunner is saying come on baby, jsut pick up that 'weapon'.... this is not just an attack that killied innocents. not to mention the US defended the act fully and stated that they were in a combat situation with hostiles.
heck, if you were an iraqi in america (you two countries are at war, so it's fair play to anything they do in the US (or UK!) meaning if i were an iraqi and saw a US civillian with a gun, hell, could be military, best bet is to shoot him, and anyone that tries to help. just imagine if the iraqis somehow managed to bring war to us, propperly, not just silly bombings. i mean picture the hotel shootings in dubai but on mass scale throughout new york. not so "that's just war, we'll jstu have to get over it" it would be a whole different hostile act to anyone attacking their towns.
and i can't defend millitants who shield themselves ebhind civvies, but in this cituation, they weren't, it all jsut seemed to be day to day life milling around. not people hunched up behind cover trying to take shots.. most they had was a guy or two holding a gun and someone looking around a corner. not 7 AK47 rifles and an RPG, that was all nothing but bad guesswork
and if this "just happens" why did they flat refuse to release it evemn after a freedom of information act request?
