I thought it was the NHS, you pay national insurance when you work. I was paying £96.00 a month or $150.00 from $26000 salary.

This would give me all treatment, ranging from a sprained wrist to terminal illness, now I am out of work, everything is free.

One more thing, if you get your facts from anything but the actual statistics themselves you would be considered biased. Everyone has their own interpretation.

That being said, obviously there are legitimate flaws in socialized medicine as the anecdotal evidence suggests from those sources.

Better to be covered and die than die because you were denied care in one of the wealthiest nations in the world.

I believe the pinnacle of Health Care is in the mixture of Private and Government run health care as exists in France.

But to believe the insurance companies would fix the way they do business without government interference is simply irrational, that is a fact.

Also to believe that your current health care system is the best in the world is simply wrong.

It is difficult but try and see though the stars and stripes and all that other patriotic bull shit you people value so highly and realize America may have it wrong for once.

The hospitals are UNCLEAN, the waiting lists are so long that ppl get diagnosed too late and go terminal. There is a svere doctor shortage... (because they are fed up and no one wants to be one anymore)... the GB health system is a MESS!!!

It is NOTHING to emulate...that's for sure.

I happen to LOVE the Veteran's Administration health care I get. Here it is: Freedom is a lie. We pay taxes and the government needs to take that money and give it to doctors who treat us for free.

Instead, our military budget is 600 BILLION a year (more than every other country in the world put together). Even if you civilian types can't enjoy the DELICIOUS socialized medicine I enjoy, at least we can force the government to start spending some cash in the right direction.

We will all be paying more taxes, business, individual, payroll, thru inflation. There is just no way around it in the short term. I believe these fears are justified.
And getting tax breaks for the equipment you use is just another form of government control, which I am totally opposed to.
In my opinion, differences in taxation violate the equal protection clause in the 14th amendment. Whether 'person' means 'corporation' as in the Citizens United free speech case, has not been determined, but seems to be a reasonable result against the current, carrot-and-stick tax law.
This type of preferential tax treatment is at the heart of redistribution, particularly healthcare. See : "Redistribution" and 'Half of US pays no Fed tax"
Without the redistribution, everyone might realize that they don't want to pay their 'equal' share of healthcare for all. I think the tax system itself is unconstitutional, but many people aren't concerned. ( yet )

How is having the option to buy energy saving machines government control ???? I mean really are you looking for reasons to fail ???? I don't have to buy those machines..I could very well go out and buy some machines that use a gang of energy and pay more on my electric/water bill and lose out on a tax break.. ...I see now a lot of people on this site are going to miss out on somethings by just wanting to hate instead of looking into the facts.. Things look a little different thru the prism of the constitution and freedom, I think. And there is a lot of bad to see.
You do have the freedom to choose which machines you buy ( right now ), but as with light bulbs, that may not always be the case.
You should be buying the machines that fit best for your business, but I don't really feel like subsidising your business or any other. The government actually says "hey if you buy the machines that we want you to, we will force the taxpayer will help you out", all of our freedoms suffer thru additional confiscation.
It's only in your best interest to take the offer, I don't begrudge you that. I fault the system.

This is exactly the WRONG time to be opening a business.

It is also the wrong time to expand a business.

Ant cursory look at employment figures will show that businesses are not hiring like they should.... taxes are increasing and the small businesses will be severely hit by them.

New taxes are being created everywhere. the IRS is RAMPING up enforcement.

P.S. grab a copy of Turbo Tax. it is about to become a collectors item. the days of doing a simple tax form is over....until we get some actual leadership in washington.
