BEST THING U CAN DO! research deficiencies and symptoms of them, wat they look like, wat the plant does wen affected by the different types. that way u will already have the rough knowledge of 'reading the plant/foliage'
there was a great grower on here (hes probably still around) named uncle ben, he taught alot of great knowledge, one of the things i learned from him was that Ph is, well...BS!!
and as for annouying, hell no. i am so god damn bored right now its not even funnee. week from harvest and i am so damn ansee!!

My tap water comes out at 7.0 ph and ends up at around 5.5-6.0 ph once I've added all the chems. The chems that I use have ph buffers and the flowering additives that I give them contain phosphoric acid which raises the acidity. I just try to keep it at 5.5-6.0 ph as flowering plants in Hydro enjoy a more acidic mix. I haven't adjusted ph for a long time as the chemicals usually do it for you.

Ya I've read up on sum of Uncle Bens stuff! He's the one that tought me how to top the main stem to get more than 1 cola! Very smart guy he is! K so I'll ease up on all the "technical BS" and just let the plant talk to me and teach me! I'm not expecting some spectacular results cuz its my 1st time! I started off with my mind set on learning with my 1st grow and hopefully get sum decent bud to smoke on at the end! Maybe by my 2nd go round I'll get better results (I hope)! Like I mentioned b4... They've been vegging for a lil over a mth now so hopefully I'll start flowering within a week! Plus I also got a few seedlings in my vegging area so that way once I'm done with this batch I'll already have another batch waiting to be flowered! Wanna get into a cycle! Next on my list is cloning. I already took 1 clipping off my 3 healthiest plants and I'm trying water cloning, with no hormones! But damn that shit takes long! So I bought sum GreenLight rooting hormone yesterday when I got that Super Bloom I was tellin u about! We'll see how that turns out! Bored?... Ya me too! Its either sit inside n watch TV with my wife or learn stuff on here! I choose learn! Lol. Well hey man I can't thank u enuff for puttin up with me n givin me tips! If at anytime u get sick of me askin questions just say the word! Either way I'll deff b stickin around for the rest of this one and any other thread that u start. You're cool peeps!

there isnt really much technical about a weed. lol. it is just that too. i mean we have come along way, but its still gardening.
i think cannibus cant root without a hormone? it can stay alive for weeks until ur ready to clone it tho.
a cycle of plants is ur best bet, thats basically wat i got going..heres wat i got in VEG..

Hey fuzzy maybe you are just a lucky one who has a good to pH to begin with...?
I don't have to adjust the nutrients either because when I mix up the nutes it comes out right where I want it
pH is what controls nutrient uptake, too high or too low and the plant cannot eat some of the nutrients in your mix
pH is absolutely a key role in growing hydro, you just so happen to have good water (like me)

Im guuna chop in the morning, i cant take the heat in this damn room during the day any more than i already have. 
But shes ready and has been flushing fer about 6 days so i think itll work out fine. POST PIKS IN THE MORNING OF IT!!!!
should be fun, ive been waiting fer this night since jan 1st, wen this bean popped.
ill be clipping the fan leafs off, then drying with trim still attached, wen dried i will trim before jarring.

Ya that's what I was sayin. From everything that I read b4 I started... Everyone stresses the PH thing, so I figured its gotta play an important role! That's why I'm stressin about it! Lol. With my DWC its easy for me to control the PH but what stumps me is the soil! My drainage water tests really low. So I'm not sure if that is normal in soil or if I gotta make any changes or what! I don't even know if its really necessary to test the drainage water if the PH in my water is correct before I feed my plant! Oh well... I'll figure it out! Lol. As long as my baby looks happy then I'm happy! So Fuzz... I saw in one of your pics that u have like a black shower curtain to block out light in front of your plant! Does that really block out all the light? Cuz that's basically the only thing holding me back from finishing my flowering section. I got all 3 walls done but I wanna put something that I can move easily like a curtain or something as the 4th wall for easy access instead of havin to move a big ass piece of that insulation board everytime I wanna take a peek! That's what I have for the other 3 walls... U know, that insulation board that's like an inch thick and has foil finish on one side! It would be more convenient if I could just hang a light proof curtain or sheet as a 4th wall. But other than that... I'm ready to flower these things to see how many chicks I got in my closet! Can't wait!!!!

thanx man! im too happy with the way this turned out.
i dabbed a bit of the gel in the water till i had a decent tap root and some more, not too kno tho, 2 weeks.
HB, just make sure the cutain is thick and u should be fine, remember the night is not always dark outside. full moons, lightning storms, ect....
people still get sensimilla outdoors too!!
