I respect your opinion but I do think it's quite extreme. Your logic about "doing it again" could easily be applied to any and all crimes. I'm sure most incarcerated people go on to commit more crimes. That doesn't mean we should just lock up everyone for life does it? The sentence is extreme and you can bet there will be an appeal. Mandatory minimum sentencing needs to be done away with. I'm not saying there were mitigating circumstances in this case but mandatory minimums don't account for them. The law is hardly black and white and it shouldn't be applied like it is. My $.02.

Yea I agree with getting rid of mandatory sentencing but just because shes a women and let a little boy touch her tits doesn't make her any better then another male pedophile.There would be hell on here if it was a man who made a little girl touch his dick.Truth be told I think a year is harsh for letting a kid cop a feel. She may be butt ugly but boobies are boobies when you're that age.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that growing weed for personal use is a little less extreme than molesting a child...
I don't view this with a double standard because I see ugly women and men sexual offenders as on the same level. Now, if this was a babe I would defiantly go down to the court and hold up protest signs haha.
With that said, I think a fair sentence would be 5-10 years with possible parole at 2 years with psychological evaluation... if that's possible, I don't know, I'm not a lawyer, lol

Frankly, this is a rare situation that I believe, happened because of a poor defense attorney, there is no reason that a quality lawyer could have easily saved this situation, but instead of following normal legislative procedure she just started with arguments in the wrong court, when your client has a jury confirm their guilt and with only one punishment, what do you expect the judge to give your client if you don't follow procedure
