First time growers, just started flowering recently? come on in :)

I am a first time grower growing under 2 x 600 w H.P.S There are 15 sativa from bags of african weed thats grown outdoors. Grown for 5 weeks and now flowering 37 days with advanced nutrients gro micro bloom. Now there is plenty of flowers and white hairs but i reckon its very poor for 37 days flowering but again i dont know as its my first grow. How long could it take for them to flower totally could someone tell me. I will be going into my 6 th week flowering soon so they definetly wont be done in 8 weeks. Oh and the plants are all healthy and i had to tie em all down and all round the place because i never thought they would grow so big some could be touching 2 M and i cant raise my lights any more. aND I have e few pics on desktop but no idea how to get em onto here either thanks

Ola Pablo :) Welcome to the thread. Okay sativas generally flower longer than indicas, up to 16 weeks I've heard but generally a good 12 week period is in order. It's undefined though which means you have to watch the process and judge for yourself. We can give you tips on when to harvest so you will reap the full potential bounty that is possible. Also sativas have a tendency to grow taller and lankier. Were gonna need to see some pics :mad: A: this thread is for showing off our flowering beaut's B: We can help with issues and harvest timing. Question: do you have a digital camera? take pictures and upload them from your camera to your pictures file in programs. Then you need to use an uploading program. I use www.tinypic.com just upload the pic, copy then paste it onto your post. Good luck and get those pics up, I'm curious to see :)

i sat and read through this entire thread over about 6 hours total :)

everything's looking awesome guys.

Just a quick question, do you know if the flower period is shorter for smaller plants? I've got a PC case grow area and my plants are relatively small. It's my first time growing and i want my bud ready in 11 weeks for reading festival :)

I have like 4-5 weeks left. plus my 400w hps should be in this week. i cant wait to see her take all that light from the hps.

thanks for dropping in. Your flowering period will be the same regardless of size. So if your doing pc grow I assume your going 12/12 from the start. If not, veg only a week or two at most to allow adequate time for flowering plus dry/cure time. Welcome aboard.

Yeah I do, although its just the little shitty one from Radio Shack.. I wish I had a camera with the quality to just take a picture and check them ^^ or one of those ones you hook up to the tv and look at, its difficult to get it focused on the trichs with the radio shack one without mangling buds haha

Best way to see if your buds are done. dry it out and try it and see if you like that high.
I have a shitty samsung camera but make sure you put the aperture setting on. its setting that lets you get up close even with a piece cam.

Yeah I used the close up mode and "Flower" setting on my girlfriends little digital camera to take those pictures above but I only have 1 plant and Obviously the smoke wont be great since not cured and flushed so I would imagine it would be pretty harsh hah

No sir....you enjoy! :clap: That is a harvest worthy of kings and nobleman haha . Excellent work. How long been drying? Im 3 weeks away still and watching the clock tick. How long did you hang dry it? Or did you use a trimming machine. I'm leaning towards the offered rental of one. Btw must feel nice, MISSION COMPLETE :) smoke a fat one for me Dan :bigjoint: :cool:
