all i have ever grown is outdoor and i have never checked the PH either but i have never cloned and i am about to, but i am using the starter cubes and thought they still have to be PH'd for the cuttings

Fuck rockwool! Go with rapid rooters. You don't have to do any prep work and they work amazing!

a thread gets made calling me out to help. so far every post i have made here has been replied to with an argument. wtf is wrong with all of you? you respect my experience enough to beg for help yet refuse to listen to any advice i offer. i don't get it.

since you have to ph rockwool before using it, or so they say, i don't use it. i use jiffy plugs straight out of the package. pretty simple.

what's dickish about it? it's the truth.
I would think responding to someone's honest question about rockwool with 'wtf is ph?" and then stating that ph doesn't matter for soil grows qualifies as dickish--- amusing, but dickish ie. passive aggressive dismissal.

Cheers.

no, actually it is the TRUTH. i ask again as i have been asking for 5 years, "wtf is PH?" i honestly do NOT know. i do not really care to know because so far i have not needed to know. i don't think that is dickish. i think you all are just looking at my answer wrong.

any more name calling you all want to throw at me.

I didn't name call; I commented on the behavior you asked about. I have the utmost respect for you; I just don't think that behavior gets you the response you want.

Lol. Apparently they don't read many of ur post's. If they did they would realize uve answered everything, very well at that. Just in an FDD way. Haha. Guys. If your soil is good and ur water is proper, ph shouldn't be an issue in any soil garden. This is all he was stating. Understand he's not into the "marketed" side of growing. He like many of us has his own way as he's had enough experience to develop it. This allows you to stop adhering to so many "rules" of growing and have it work great for you. So after so much time he knows if he uses this with this his ph will be fine etc... But 6.3 is said to be best in soil if that at all satisfies you.
How do u do this everyday fdd? :joint:

pH Scale
Introduction and Definitions:
Acidic and basic are two extremes that describe a chemical property chemicals. Mixing acids and bases can cancel out or neutralize their extreme effects. A substance that is neither acidic nor basic is neutral.
The pH scale measures how acidic or basic a substance is. The pH scale ranges from 0 to 14. A pH of 7 is neutral. A pH less than 7 is acidic. A pH greater than 7 is basic.
The pH scale is logarithmic and as a result, each whole pH value below 7 is ten times more acidic than the next higher value. For example, pH 4 is ten times more acidic than pH 5 and 100 times (10 times 10) more acidic than pH 6. The same holds true for pH values above 7, each of which is ten times more alkaline (another way to say basic) than the next lower whole value. For example, pH 10 is ten times more alkaline than pH 9 and 100 times (10 times 10) more alkaline than pH 8.
Pure water is neutral. But when chemicals are mixed with water, the mixture can become either acidic or basic. Examples of acidic substances are vinegar and lemon juice. Lye, milk of magnesia, and ammonia are examples of basic substances.
