Welcome to the thread nate, Gumball is correct. That is foil tape thay use for HVAC to seal up the joints of the duct work. As for reflecting any light back, I would have to think a little. I read in a read somewhere about a guy who did it to his 4' flourecents so I figured why not. Can't hurt anything and it doesn't seem to be any hotter than normal. I had some beer can reflectors I made but they are way to small for the 65W bulbs. Maybe a coffee can would work? lol

Can't remeber the official name so we will just call it foil tape.

The bulb finally showed up around 20 mins before I had to go to work so it went in their this morning before lights on. Man that is one white light. I raised the hood back up a couple inches to let em adjust again and I will probably lower it over the next couple days.

Put the toddlers into flower yesterday at 5 weeks of veg. They were tied down 2 days ago and they have already recovered and taken off again. The babies will get topped this week at the 2nd node. They are at 4 now so should be OK. Then I am going to start some more seeds. These were gifted to me by another friend so I will probably start another journal for them.

Anyway here they are!

Glad you got the bulb, can't wait a few more weeks to see how them girls look. Can't wait to see those gifted seeds begin to flower!!

Well now you need to take some clones from the plants you just put in 12/12, once they show sex that is. Then maybe another reveg of one of the plants you really like to get a mom if you want really want too.

We are still on the same page.

So the plan is to do as gumball said above. If they sex up as females at around 14 days then I am going to take some clones( already have my eye on a few branches.) and try to my hand at it. By this time the 3 in the veg box will go into flower at around 5 weeks. Hopefully the Gods will be good to me and send more females. Of the 6 PK X's I have going, I got an Idea of a mother I might take. Just have to wait and see how many are female for this plan to fall into place. And finally when the last in the veg cab go to flower I will have those new beans I spoke of germed and ready to run along with some clones from the PK's

Not sure on the reveg yet? Those were bagseeds that are going but they sure look nice don't they?

congratulations on the bulb bigman :) gotta love the way it shows up the trichs, taking photos under the HPS's suck. plants are all looking great there

as for keeping a mother i would put every plant you chop into re-veg until you have tried the smoke from each plant, im gonna do alot of re-vegs from now on so over the next couple years i will pick some very special plants and just continue re-vegging them :)

Cheers tam, I am glad it finally got here. I was getting a little worried but all is good now. I really like the white light it gives off. Makes taking pictures easier that's for sure. The mother idea is all based on the babies sexing female for me. I hope to get at least 4 but whatever I get will have to do. As for reveging, definitely going to try it if they are good but I gotta make some more room in the veg cab.

I look forward to seeing the results bigman, I'm gonna order a 400w ballast and bulb so shrigpiece can have his back and then I may get a 250w cmh to use on the other ballast. It's a magnetic ballast so it should be ok right?

Hey tam, Ya know I would definately go with the 400w cmh but I might just keep the 250 hps. Here is a link showing a 600w hps and a 400cmh and man they look yummy. https://www.rollitup.org/grow-journals/332796-top-not-too-top-13.html post #130.

Pic up date, Babies got topped and up-canned. 40 days old today. The toddlers have been in flower 8 days and the growth is incredable so far. I lstd em to keep the canopy even and I am loving what I am seeing. They just got rained on so they are perspiring away. The last of the ladies are getting ready. they are 48 and 55 days old and they are looking awesome.

I know huh? They taste yummy too. Sampled one last night and got some fruity taste on the inhale followed of course by a hint of green on the exhale. Real nice stone though. Not to couch locked but yet nice and relaxed. I am thinking that girl might come down this weekend? Have to see.

So I chopped one of the ladies today. The need for stash and the boss decided. lol

She was 58 days and her sample bud was the best of the 2 I took.

Not too impressed with the yield though! This is the girl that went into 12/12 a week ahead of the other two and you sure can tell the difference in the reduced veg time. Still haven't got the scale yet so not sure of the weight.
