I looked up ansi m59 cause that m59 sounds like a ballast ansi code. It came up Metal Halide, so I'd say that's it.

I have read almost all Riddleme has planted on me...just trying to absorb it all...

I'm almost 1/2 through balls/walls and am eager to join in the topics being discussed in allot of you threads...Didnt think It would take a couple weeks...lol thanks again riddleme for guiding me into the correct spectrum!

So one question for all you! If the idea is to Keep them green til the end then when is the end?

I have a Indica 60 days flowering,3' plant under 150w Hps and just today saw first amber trichomes, on top cola only...she is all Green from Head to Toe...well(1 yellow on bottom).

So can a plant go too long? Over ripen? Is there a point of deminish where it starts to effect quality/potency?

If she is still green then could I just harvest the top half and let the bottom go longer to ripen lower 1/2, or even Reveg her after aswell? She is healthy!
And Matilda was Reveged...so if she is healthy so... could I do this?

best to post some pics, so we can see her but I don't even look at trichs till the hairs (pistils) start to recede and yes there is a point where you can get diminished returns and (in some strains) there is a point where you get hermies if you wait to long

looking mighty fine! is this your first grow? hell of a job if it is,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,but

you got a bit of stress up at the top there with the serated edges curing up,,,,,means something is off

can you tell me what it might be?

Yes 1st one almost finished.

Not making it rain...? Heat stress from having the light too close at 6" from top.
From the start to 4weeks of flower, Dehydrated, I think, have a fan blowing too close(on high) right across top. was a slight nute burn at 4 week flower, but I flushed and she has only had a nute feed Twice since.uuummm? Am I close or ?lol.

Yah only top leaves have this say 6" from top of plant...Live and learn and I am still learning. Still new to the game.lol. Trying to keep her green though!
I have moved it since and now it is about 12" away with fan on low!!!

Also I have let this one grow Ole Natural...meaning I have not pinched it , topped or nothing....wanna see her in her natural form...the clipping is what I'm messing with now.... and Wow Big difference!!! She is 16" and I could take 10 clippings from her if I wanted( but who would do that) She has major side branching from pinching Technique! Just one pinch.....Less is More! I took 2 clippings from Mom, and one is natural 12" no side branches and the other WOW! they do not look the same! But they are...My experiment??? idk... I see Improved techniques can be good when done at the right time. I have another that I have Trained, Topped and she has like over 8 tops!!! Awesome, Lst, Topping, pinching is all Good if done right! Trying a few different tricks out... shit I could probably do a net with like a SOG with her alone!

Oh yah one more thing should I cut 1/2 then let bottom finish up the try for a Reveg???or is it a waist of time?

no such thing as a waste of time when it comes to learnin, do it all at least once, then decide the stuff you like

Good point... See it for Yourself! Just like the clippings...I can see the difference with my own eyes.

I would like to see the first one finish it has been to long...And I haven't even took a sample bud yet should I? Too see! Any ideas???
She was started under 2 30w 3'flur, as all were! flipped at 26" now 38". 4 months from seed, 2 mths veg/2mths flower...is she done?

SO, with that said....let me ask you this...I grow autos, (dont know if u have any experenice) But, as far as the making it rain goes, (i only read up to page 10) Will this work with autos??? (Ya know, 8-10wk life span..) If so, can you break dwn a example for me as to when to I apply this method, because I would love that rapid growth rate from my autos<which they grow fast already, just want MORE vigorious verticle growth...I'm trying to get at least 2' tall plants and the strains i am using will more than achieve this...Right now it takes almost a week for soil to dry out!!<this is where your method is needed, as I haved learned that faster watering/feed rates grow bigger plants as well....I'm currently growing in 3gal bags, (16 of them!!) under a 600hps....Thanks!

First let me say that overwatering is not the amount of water you use it is how often you water, so basically water to often (before the soil dries out) is overwatering

So you water a lot with plenty of run off and yes the plant will go into overdrive, then you wait till the top 3 to 4 inches has dried out (stick your finger into the soil) and feed only till you get a drip of runoff, then you wait till the soil dries out and repeat. with a healthy vigorous plant you can do this 3 times aweek easy and the plant will just grow and grow so fast you can see it

There is a better explanation of my make it rain technique in my current grow (balls to the wall sig link) and there are growers doing it to auto's (though I never have) shame you stopped on page 10 as this thread is full of info

Maybe i should give my 2c on the whole making it rain on auto's.

So far as i can tell they REALLY dont like it at first and some of my plants looked like they were going to die in the early stages but i kept pushing them and within a couple weeks they took to it, hence there current size which would put a lot of auto growers to shame This means that if ur going to make it rain u have to be comitted to hurting your plants a little bit in the beginning for the greater good (maybe some rhizotonic would minimise this with more root growth).But when they take to it growth is explosive i have a 18 inch kola on one of my plants and there is secondary bud production. On the whole a good way to maximise a typically low yielding plant.
I will always advise not bothering with veg nutes on autos aswell, theres just not enough time they always start budding in the first 2 weeks (in my experience).

Just thought my experience might help others so i hope this contribution is of use at some point.

Btw, at what age did you start to "make it rain" and what strain was it? Thanks again....Gotta go pick up some rhizotonic TOO!!<is this "better" than greenfuse root stimu??(which I currently have) as well as some AN Voodoo Juice, Tarantula, Phirana & Sensi-Zyme in the wings for bigger/better/healthier roots, jus didnt use on this grow to see a diff.

I sense a lot of enthusiasm in you, this is good but i also see u like to buy new stuff all the time. just keep it simple , makes life easier

All I used was Azatrol as under leaf foiler and as feed, then that Zero Tolerance stuff, both about 5 days ago (I also did a tepid water foiler rinse of the bottom of all infected leaves 2 days after I sprayed Azatrol and Z.T.). I think I'm going to spray malathion over the tops tonight just in case.
