How do you clean YOUR bong?

Soap and water and a plastic scrubber with a flex handle. Rinse thoroughly and voila, clean bong.

Of course they told you that. Where they running a special on 90 watt UFO's that out perform 400's too?

PS: High Times reccomends salt and alcohol and I would have to assume they know a thing or 2 about bongs.

no but at the local hydro shop they charged me $60 for a quart of G.H flora blend (my first time buying this product) later looked up the price and it is fing $20 that explains why he gave me the $50 bottle of bud XL for free. POS MF See its shit like that that'll give you a bad rep so ill never go there again.. and from now on ill always research the price of something before I buy and I suggest you do the same if you dont already

does this work on colored glass pipes? ya know the popular pipes with the paint that canges color when it resins up... anybody ever try the IPA/salt combo on them?

for glass pipes this is what you do. (its better to do this outside on a grill but ive done it inside as well.... gets a little smelly) boil some water in a pan. once boiling gently set your pipe in the water. use some tongs to make sure the pipe fills with water. let it sit a minute or so and shake it in the water. do this a few time. Make sure the pipe is submerged for about 7 minutes. when you take your pipe out make sure you have salt, ziplock bag and alcohol ready. PIPE WILL BE HOT!!! try to pour some salt into the pipe if u can. ALSO pour some alcohol and salt into the ziplock bag. throw the pipe in the bag and SHAKE SHAKE SHAKE..... violently shake that damn bag. make sure the alcohol gets into the pipe.. after a couple minutes of that your done. rinse your pipe very well. Your pipe should look brand new.

if u feel weery about this then google it. thats where i learned.

yup it kinda takes the color away, leaves only a light tint of the color it was all rezed up

Yes. Someone mentioned that the color fades, but I think he just doesn't remember the original color from burning so much lol. I'm pretty sure the color is inside the glass. Also I tried acetone on my bubbler and it left it smelling like acetone, but that could be because it was absorbed into the resin. Idk, but I don't trust it lol.

lol ill show you proof tonight buddy, serious my pipe is overdue for some cleaning... It fades, it doesnt clean all the color away

After the forming process, some containers—particularly those intended for alcoholic spirits—undergo a treatment to improve the chemical resistance of the inside, called internal treatment or dealkalization. This is usually accomplished through the injection of a sulfur- or fluorine-containing gas mixture into bottles at high temperatures. The gas is typically delivered to the container either in the air used in the forming process (that is, during the final blow of the container), or through a nozzle directing a stream of the gas into the mouth of the bottle after forming. The treatment renders the container more resistant to alkali extraction, which can cause increases in product pH, and in some cases container degradation.
