Through some suggestions I've been given in another thread I've got it handled. My problem now is only 3 of the 5 seeds germinated well. The other 2 seem to be slow for some reason. They all are cracked and 3 of them had nice taproots yesterday but the other 2 were just barely cracked so I left them til this morning and put them in cubes a little bit ago with smalll taproots popping out. They looked the same this morning as when I last checked on them last night so I figured they aren't going to get any better in the water and put them in the cubes.
Hopefully they grow well now.

Congrats on them popping, hopefully the other are just slow starters. My WW is moving really slow aswell, I'm starting to get concerned...

One of the other RBC seeds popped today so I'll be putting it in a party cup and in the flower room tonight with the others.

I took a bunch of cuttings from the Jack Herer this morning and they're drooping really bad nit sure what the deal is but it has me concerned and is making me be unsure of taking the cuttings I need from the White Widow.

Yikes! That doesn't look good, I guess later on you'll figure out if they made it.

To be honest, if my clones look like that (with their tops wilting, not just the leafs), I consider them dead, and usually that happens when they get an embolism. I don't know what steps you take to clone, but they look like they have embolisms. Good luck man, keep us posted

Not sure how they get embolisms, I'd have to read up on it I guess. Kind of hard for me to believe they've contracted anything in such a short time though. I use sterilized exacto knives to cut and scrape the stems, dip them in powder and stick them in the cubes that have soaked in PH adjusted water with Supernatural RW soak for a while.

I've only ever had this happen one other time and it was just the other day when I put a few small cuttings in the bubble cloner. I tied them all up like I did these and only one of four made it that drooped like that. There is three total from that batch in the bubble cloner that are looking good now and one of those three was drooped over really bad. I didn't lable them so I don't know if they're headband or Cataract Kush since I took a few from each plant just to clear out the lower part of the plant.

Ok now I know what an embolism is and I'm not so sure that's my problem since I cut them from the plant and put them immediately into the water that the RW soaks in. Once I'm ready to actually put them in the cubes I pull one out, trim the unnecessary branches and leaves off, scrape about 1" above where I want the bottom to be and then do a new 45 degree cut at the bottom of that, dip it in the powdre and then right into the cube. It's in water about 2-3 seconds after being cut from the mom and then since I do a new cut higher up on the stem, I'd think chances of an embolism would be slim. You never know though, right?

They should sit in water for a while man, I did a little experiment with a past lemon skunk, the ones that survived were in the water for an hour+. Now I always keep them in the water for a few hours, and since then I have had a 100% success rate, so I figured that was my problem. Idk though, because you did do everything correctly, I don't like RW i just use soil, but I don't see any other issue you might have. Maybe grab a humidity dome?

If you do get an embolism you can always cut it again if the bubble hasn't reached the top.

I have a humidity doem and typically use it. It was on these as well unitl I saw them drooped over and then I wondered if it was because they were so close to the top of it so I took it off. These are kind of tall and barely fit under the dome. I made a bigger bubble cloner and took all of the clones out of the rockwool one at a time, gave them a fresh cut while in water and let them sit in the water for a bit before putting them in the neoprene discs and into the bubble cloner. I filled it up all the way to the lid though so they can sit in water for a while as an experiment to see if I can save them. If not I'm going to have to buy a grip of clones which I don't want to do. It'll run almost $200 for how many I need.

I'm going to call the guy I built a big op for a few months ago and see if he'll hook me up with a bunch first though if these don't make it.

hey bro sorry 2 see ur clones sick. i normaly keep my clones quite small as 1bmm said over on the 600 they root easyer. a little less stalk so theres less 2 fall over. have some more small scale attempts before shelling out that cash bro. they like humidity so spray/mist with water about 6 times a day.

Thanks. I've taken a bunch of clones since I started growing earlier this year and have had really good success. I've just never taken clones this big before and wanted big ones so they can veg for a shorter time before going under the 1K light.

I'm happy to report that I only lost one clone in all of this. It's the one that was laying down copmpletely earlier but the rest are now standing at attention.

Glad to hear you only lost 1 Dez! I haven't tried bigger clones yet but I've had great success with small ones aswell. I was shocked at how much growth the roots on my KandyKush clone progressed over the last 24 hrs, I had to transplant her in soil today:)

It's actually the smaller one that's $41.00 from what I can tell. The least expensive 4X4 I saw was $69 and it's the same one I can get for around $75 cash from the local hydro shop. It's not a tru 4x4 either since that's the outside dimensions and it's stepped on the inside so it's closer to 3x3 useable space.

Yeah the botanicare ones give you the inside dimensions. There's another one that does too, don't remember the brand though. He sells the botanicare ones, another brand that's white andnsome Canadian economy ones that are te same ones that are on greners. My 2x4 is botanicare.

the ones greners has in the trays/flood tables section are botanicare & should be identical to mine [white botanicare] i bought mine used

I found someone selling a used one nearby but the guy placed a misleading ad and is asking too much for the one he's got left. I'm going to keep looking for a used one but will probably be doing the first run under the 1K in soil.
