At what week do you start trimming the bottem leaves?????

If you started flowering yesterday than you have a week till pre-flower really kicks in and then one more week after that. If you are going to top your plants, or any kind of maintenance I would suggest you do it now, that way you are starting early in that 2 week period; leaves them plenty of time to recover. Good luck with your grow!! P.S. Doesn't your ass get cold when you snow blow the driveway??? I didn't start lollypopping (like what fdd does) until I read a thread he had up; I wouldnt do it any other way with an indoor setup. It allows you to have great airflow under the plants (keeps the damn bugs to a minimum) and also gives you a nice full canopy utilizing your light setup to the max.

yeah urban grower has talked alot about lollipopping and creating fat top colas. youll see a big difference when you grow outside by leaving on bottom branches because there is just so much light penetration with the sun. BUT WITH INDOORS lollipopping is actually a better way to grow because even if you have a 1000 w hps your not gonna get alot off those bottoms because of light penetration. kilik2007 is right about leaving them on...if your growing outdoors.

also kilik2007 if you trim off in the last 2 weeks youve essentially wasted weeks of growing which could have resulted in bigger colas not more fan leaves
Yer that makes sense.

The reason airflow is so critical is because it allows your pots to dry better, allows the movement of air over and under all the leaves (crucial for photosynthesis) and yes it also allows for less of a problem with insects. The reason insects become less of a problem is because the soil is not left shaded and soggy; the soil can properly dry out which is very important to the health of your plant. There are no stupid questions if you are unsure of the answer, that is how you find out the reasoning. :joint::peace:
