Getting To Know The Ladies

There's treachery afoot
I will opt for lazy and post a few here....been a long week. just got back from my fifth trip to the vet in 10 days for my dog who has a really bad ear and sinus infection...poor baby. She is much better and off meds so we are gaining. Anyway, photos are of a few of the "ripest" girls and a group shot. Planted 8 seeds, got 8 females, gave two away kept six and waiting.....patiently to harvest. Strange bunch but enjoyed watching them grow, Problem I am having is I just can't decide when they are ready. Trichs are mostly cloudy with a few clear and a couple slightly amber. don't want the couch lock but looking for the "up" buzz. harvested late WW last round and a few hits and I'm down for the count. need a little creative inspiration be it for housework or relaxation either way, trying to hit the early side without sacrificing bud mass. So, let me know your thoughts on harvesting. I'm thinking of Sunday for one and Weds. next week for the other, then leave the rest for a Valentines Day massacre...muaa ha ha.....grin:mrgreen:

Very nice pics flowergurl. You have quite a nice selection there. I also like the uppity high and not the couch lock so I would harvest those first 3 plants in the pics.
I am not really sure about the others. I have just started flowering mine so i have a way to go before I can show some exciting pics.

I hope your dog gets better soon. My little one gets sinus problems:cry:Poor baby.

Boyz out there think another 2-3 weeks for all....not gonna listen to em cause I would rather have the right buzz and less volume than the wrong buzz and more. Been a fun experiment. The two skinny ones are the "siamese twins" two seeds in one pot, seperated two days before flower in attempts to grow a thinner plant. All grown under a sunsystems 400W HPS with a growlux bulb....in scotts potting soil with a few goodies from the composter mixed in. Vegetables alive from Gardens Alive, some epsom salt, petersons plant fertilizer, schultz bloom and now....just water and molasses. For the most part have let them do their own thing, no pruning or bending and just let em go. Strange they all got these very tall top colas...bit different from the widow but interesting none the less. None appear to be big producers but buds are very sticky and compact. Fast dried a bud and put it in the vaporizer a few days ago...tasted nasty but wow....suprisingly strong....can't wait to taste after curing...no more samples untill it's cured...boo hoo:spew:

oops, almost forgot. Sounds odd but there is a tea availble from traditional medicinals called Gypsy Cold Care. Make and add a small amount of honey...and give to your dog. Helps alot with sinuses. My dog loves it...can't make a cup without giving her a some.

I am all for holistic nutrition. Thanks so much. I really dislike given them antibiotics and that is all the vets do is push that and charge us 3'times the cost of what it is really worth.

It is great to meet you gurl. This is truly awesome because I really like the uppity high and some people don't get the fact that you don't want to be flat out on the couch watching tv. I only like that kinda high when I am already tired, at night or sick.

I have been growing for 15 years but have never grown a known strain before. All the seeds have always been given to me by friends etc but the thing is, I ordered a 'selection' of inddor seeds so I again don't know what strains I am growing. I'm great with the growing BUT have no strain knowledge what-so-ever.

Here are a couple of pics from last autumn outdoors and the ones I have growing now.

Beautiful plants.....would love to grow outside but don't live in the right area. Do they always get so nice and bushy outside...bet they can get pretty tall. I own a farm about an hour from home and tangled with the idea of putting a plant or two out, problem is, so damn much ditch weed growing here, it would surely get polinated and be seedy for sure. I like the indoors as it gives me something to grow when the ground is frozen. On the dog front...I hate the whole antibiotic and vaccine thing! Hell, people don't give their kids shots every year, why should the dog have to have shots every year. I don't vaccinate my dogs unless their titer is down. If you ask your vet to titer rather than vaccinate, will save you alot of $$ and your dog alot of grief. I have had my dogs in for accupunture...ie...the "pokey vet" a few times, helps with the sinuses and other issues without over do on the meds.

Yes they always get really bushy outdoors and some of them grow 6 to 8 feet. I have a lot of privacy here so it isn't a problem.

Perhaps you can help me with the name sof what I have. i'm quite sure I have 3 mangos, 2 skunks, 1 blueberry and I am really hoping that I have somw white widow in there as well. If you own a farm I would drop a few plants for sure. Why not?

I also don't like to use the vet unless absolutely necessary. I find them ridiculously overpriced and I don't always agree with their treatment.

Accupuncture is a great medicine and i would love to take our pets there but hubby won't have any of it and thinks I'm crazy. Well I am:?but thats besides the point. ;)

Speaking of dogs. I need to give mine some attention.Later flower. its a pleasure.

I also love the vegetable growing and canning.
Homemade anyting is awesome and to grow your own food always excites me. There is such an intimate relationship with eating food this way that goes beyond explanation.

I don't ever clone clones from clones but would only do 1st generation if and when i ever do clones. I have always found seeds to be MUCH stronger than clones. Understandably so.

I have never grown a known strain before so you are way ahead of me.

I ONLY just found out last year that i could purchase seeds here in canada. I feel like such an idiot but I don't surf the net much. I am really looking forward to trying new strains and please feel free to recommend some to me. i am all ears, so to speak.

What a coincidence....I loooove to chat about this AND that...lol
I am growing a few babies from some seeds given to me by a friend, guessing they will be ready for harvest in a week or two....having a tough time deciding when the time is right. Been looking in the scope daily to hit the perfect time to slaughter the children. I'll have to send some pics for your opinion. Also have a few white widow clones just starting to flower and two more mystery clones just grabbing a foot hold. A friend and I have been trying to see how many times we can clone a clone before the genetics go kaput. I think we are on eight....so far...so good. Kinda fun trying some new types as I have gotten all the kinks out of the WW and excited about the a new variety. I do alot of canning....not just grass...grin. Mostly tomatoes, salsa, marinara and pasta sauces, veggies, relish, and my favorite, bread and butter jalepenos. Keep pretty busy in the summer so have to nurture the winter garden monkey on my back when the weather turns cold. looking forward to getting to know everyone and very happy to be here!

So after what felt like months of endless dark doomy skys I have had sun for days..... it's a glorious thing. In giddy anticipation of spring I ran out and bought some seed to start indoors. I have bibb lettuce and romaine, spinich and sugar snap peas that all can do direct into soil - hopefully tomorrow if my enthusaism lasts. Then I have some herbs (not that kind), and flowers I'm gonna start indoor to hold me over till summer veggies are ready to go in. I love feeding my family what I grow too Lacy :-)

And Mama's special herbs will be ready very very soon.... I need to get a magnifing glass cause they stink and a lot of the hairs are turning red. I think I have a 2-3 weeks left but I am very excited.

Yes I know what you mean. This winter has been long for us here. Its started out very early and just didn't give. After days of cloudy days to have just one day of sunshine seems like a day in heaven. I am yearning for the spring and just can't wait but have to.

I have all my veggie seeds also and my plants have about 5 weeks to go and are starting to smell REALLY nice. That is gonna be very exciting.
