I'm still looking for that quote.. .now I'm starting to think I dreamed it. It was an article where some of the neighbors that knew him were interviewed. They said he was watering the lawn. But now I can't find the damn thing. I read about twenty of them when I first heard about it.
It's possible... I just like to err on the side of the police because honestly they take a lot of BS they don't deserve, many in this thread have proved that point. They do a job and put up with people no one would want to put up with, on a daily basis... and it's a job that is necessary in this country. Just go to any prison and ask yourself if you'd want that prison's population to be released into the public, of course not... so yes as 'timeismoney' said, I do have a great respect for police, and if I am ever treated poorly by a cop, I will lose respect for that cop, not every cop in general because when you do that... you are no better than those who look at us cannabis users and generalize in a negative way.
I just can't replay the situation over in my mind where a group of cops, more than 5... would pull up to a call of a man with a gun, then feel the need to take cover IN a neighbors house... all because of a guy with a water hose. I mean that's something you'd see on a cartoon almost it's so funny, to think of a big group of cops watching some drunk man watering his lawn.
That is why I feel that there was no hose or any water, and that he did indeed have the nozzle detached from the hose, and being drunk was being stupid and pointing it at things, houses... people... and possibly even pulling the trigger on it while making the recoil movement with his arm, because it sounds like something a person could easily find themselves doing if drunk.
lol!
i guess the lesson is people need to stop making hose attachments that look like guns. And if you see the cops roll up, put down everything that you are holding. Also don't reach for your cellphone
Those are great ideas, unfortunately society has degraded to the point where cops do look at everyone as a potential target... so not reaching for anything in your pockets or holding water hose nozzles that look like guns or aiming said nozzles at police is certainly, the best idea I've heard in this thread!
