Clones Keep Drooping and Dying

i got to tell you most people will clone like 100's and out of them get a few to root like myself and everytime i re cloned i tryed another way of doin it until my rates got better .
just goin to take you some time but most common mistake is people takin there cuttings not in the right places takin to big of a cutting no matter what they will wilt and take up to a week to come back up

most common screw ups is the ph of your medium / the wetness as well as the amount of spraying you do weights into the equation

important factors is Humidity , and sterilization of your working equipment as well as lighting the op mention sterilized scissors
which is fine to do first cut Not final 45 degree cut that alone could dampen your rooting success you need sterilized razors
and as for humidity you need a dome spray your trays and dome and place your cuttings into it DO not spray cuttings for atleast 4 days as long as your medium is damp life is good.
To promote root growth you you need in intice it to grow that is why you lightly mist after 4 days of takin cuttings and you want to mist bottom of your tray as to make them roots go to it if you keep misting like crazy she will never root your trying to flip its hormones to rooting rather then growing i have had cuttings green as fck for over a month and not root cause i was spraying tops like crazy

AND WE HAVE A WINNER!!!! Humidity is not the issue... The issue is from what you said about 1-3 days is they are drying up most likely.. You need to keep your medium wet at all times 1-2 hours of dryness and they can die...

i agree here, you really need to be particular with clones. they have such small root systems if they dry out your done, but on the other hand ive seen where they were kept too wet and pretty much couldnt breath. its a very fine line and you need to have a feel for it.

Humidity is still the issue! I've had clones showing root through the rockwool and even right after being cut wilt once I took the dome off! I put the dome back on and 4 hours later it was fogged up a bit and they were standing up! took the dome back off and they fell down again dome back on they stood up! They fell over and looked wilted twice in one day and stood up fine again once they got the humidity. Why do you think they are drying up? because there is not enough humidity (water in the air for the plant to drink) and there aren't enough roots to supply the plant! I've cut clones over a foot tall as long as I keep up the humidity and cut the fan leaves in half they stand up straight!

I got clones rooting right now and my humidity is 38% and their doing fine.. I'm not saying that humidity doesn't play a factor in it but i really dont think thats his problem

It can't be the "only problem" because I have done clones with and without domes and never had that issue. That is why I am saying humidity is not the issue it has to be something more then just that.

its a really crazy ass situation, because it seems like hes doing the steps at least half right, so they should last longer than 3 days....people are giving good advice and......i dont know...im stumped....its something other than humidity, even though i still believe humidity is 1 of the contributing factors, but there obviously is something else to it......what the hell is it though

Humidity is not the main issue at all...ive never monitored humidity or even cloned in a dome thing.

what i do is cut the babys and stick them right in water untill im ready to prep

then i take my scissors and cut all the leaves in half, then i go to the bottom and shave off some of the "skin" (this is where your new roots will come out) some people slice the clone up the middle a bit but i just shave a little.

then i put them into another cup with rooting hormone solution (liquid)

once they sit for a minute i poke holes into the dirt they are goin in w/ a toothpick as a guide hole.

then take the plant and stick the stem down, i always like to push it all the way to the bottom of the cup (the roots will be coming out of the shaved sides under the soil)

This is how ive been cloning from the begining and ive only had 5-6 die on me. ive gone 2/2 without any hormone!!!!

hope this helps

Its like day 5 and girls are still standing not showing any growth though obviously. Just wondering how long it takes for the roots to even begin to develop the white tips. Just took another clone put it in gel rapid rooter then hempy cup with perlite covered by a sandwhich baggy and then taped. Just trying different things to see what's going to work for me

depends on strain. I have had strains like ICE that clone in 4-5 days and some like Sour Diesel and White Widow that can take 10-14 days.

@ my420..DUDE how many strains do you have? your advice seems familiar?? Do you have any other accounts on here? HMMMMMM very interesting

No other accounts on here and now I only have 1 strain at a time going easier that way. Those strains are known for those clone times so i used the most common ones that take longer.

For my rez I use GH nutes consisting of
Cal/Mag
flora Micro, flora Grow, flora Bloom
Liquid Koolbloom
Powder Koolbloom

Foliar feed is a couple different recipes depending on their stage.

I've taken like five clones just trying to get the hang of things. I'm cutting with extremely sharp sterilized scissors on a 45. Immediately put the girls in ph'd water then dip in cloned gel and straight into the rapid rooter cubes, which are presoaked in ph'd water. Then I place the cubes in a 16 oz cup hempy cups filled with perlite then I place them about 18 inches away from my flouros. Then i check them the next day or so then they are drooped over. What the hell. The only thing I can come up with is my bigger plants are shading all the light but from what I read clones can easily establish their self without direct light. Someone please help get this cloning thing down and soon!!

unless he is not doing what he is saying it has to be the humidity! what else could he be doing wrong? he says he comes to check on them and they are drooped over. so they are drying out, what are the two ways plants get water. through the leaves and the roots. if he has no roots that means they are using the leaves. if there is no humidity the plant can not take in the water. The only other thing could be he is taking clones that are too big and not trimming the fan leaves to stop perspiration.

No i meant post them on this thread, sorry I don't do the link thing..
Here are a few videos of my grow..

6 days after I got the clones here is video

about 10 - 11 days here made this to show a friend exacts on how to prune your plants before bending them

This one is like 2 weeks and 5 days into flowering I think or 3 weeks on the dot I forget tho
