I just weighed the bigger bud that has been hanging up.
It weighed 19g when I chopped it and like 3 days later it weighs 7.8 dry.
The other one was about a gram. Bout 9 grams total so far dry.
I'm trying to keep up with the weight so I can have a total yield amount in the end.
They are in the jar and hope to smoke some later or tomo to test it out.
Ready for the ripe shit tho!!

Was looking thru the jungle and on my biggest bud I noticed the lowest part of the bud that doesn't get much light was still green looking and I'm sure had a couple clear trichs on it.
I tied it back to let the light hit directly on the lower part.
I cut a (1/2 gram) very small bud last weekend and have had it laying around and in and out of a jar.
Smelled dried out, but the stem was very flexible. Didn't have much hope for it.
Anyways I rolled it up and it smokes and taste rather pleasant.
I can't wait for the shit that is properly dried and cured.

Lol, I did the same thing. Gonna smoke my test bud tomorrow as its been drying and curing for a couple of days. Man don't scare me with the 19 grams wet to 7.8 dry lol Hope I don't lose that much weight on mine.

Oh yeah.. Expect to get about 1/3 of you total wet weight. They lose alot of weight while drying.

Yeah, I don't even bother weighing them when they're still wet. Dry weight is the only things that concerns me. Massive weight loss during drying is something I think about, though. A sure-fire indicator for me about weight loss during drying is the density of the finished wet bud. Harvest day, before I cut my first branch off, I give a few of the nugs a good squeeze with my thumb and forefinger. If the bud gives easily, you'll lose most of the weight in drying and end up with some airy bud. If the bud does not give, and resists like a rock, then mission, as they say, accomplished.

I grew Ghost Cut OG once, and when I squeezed those babies prior to harvest, they were like rock candy. I was very pleased when they dried as cutting each bud off the stem and letting them land in the jar was making a 'clink, clink, clink' sound. That's when you know you've succeeded and grown bud of a quality that would go for $70-$75 for 3.5grams even at the finest California dispensary.

Ok I think I have this scope bout half ass figured out. The trichs in the first picture are the lowest part of the plant. Thats where more clear trichs are.
These are pics from buds that are on the plant. Not the ones i cut off. Those two are still hanging up. Little green smelling, but not real bad.
There should be a considerable difference between the one I cut and the ones left on the plant.
Hopefully these will ripen up by the weekend. With the added dark time they should ripen up a little quicker.

Yeah, okay. Those are better photos. You could harvest right now, Bluberry, but you would have some speedy ass weed. Lol.

Extrema
(ChemD X Herijuana)

After a few years of selling the well known herijuana we got lots of feedback about the medical quality's from this plant. Very powerful stoned to the bone cannabis which is very suitable as a pain killer or just to get real stoned.
The ChemD is a cross which stand out in taste and potency, a overwhelming skunky / diesel smell which stays for a while to torture you. She gives a extreme stoned/high which will stay for a long time.

This two extremes on each other will give heavy indica dominant plants with a average flowering time from around the 8-9 weeks, harvest is OK for a indica like this but when the space is filled up good this indica can surprise lots of indica growers.
Extrema has 2 extreme parents and as expected this plants will give fireworks for growers that are hooked on strong indica's. The ChemD will enhance the taste of the herijuana in a very positive way, a strong odor and taste in combination with its strong medical properties this cross will be very popular. The extrema can grow quite big for a inica which means you need less plants on m2, 9-16 Lady's will do the job.
Product Information Type: Indica dominant type
Flowering time
8-9 weeks
Harvest: Up to 500 gram/m2(indoor) taste: A powerful diesel/skunk smell/taste Effect: Extreme stoned
Flowers: Dense buds covered in trichomes
THC: Percentage up to 23%

No worries. Not gonna be chopping as soon as I wanted to. Gonna let these trichs cloud up a bit more.

Here are a couple pics of the foxtails that the buds are producing. Nice and dense budz!!
If I woulda known they were 10-12 wk I woulda started flushing last week and they would be a little bigger.
Oh well. Hurry the fuck up and ripen up so I can move the new babies in there..

I went to PetSmart and picked up 2 of the 6 inch micropore stones for $5 each and put them in the rez with my baby sprouts.
Great airstone for $5! And I didn't have to weight it down either..
Also grabbed two of the reptile analog hygrometers.
They never left the 60% mark so I took them back to PetSmart and got two from Wal Mart for $2.25 each.
They seem to work good enough for what I need them for.
Will def have to invest in a couple digital ones tho. Not for $25 each tho

So I cut a couple sugar leaves off and looked at the trichs. Thanks Niko for the idea. The scope works like a champ doing it like that.
Sure beats trying to hold it all still in the cab with the laptop trying to look at trichs on the bud. Ugh!!
They are close but not as close as I would like them to be. The last picture is from the greenest part of the plant.

Are you going by just the trichomes or do you also wait for the hairs to start receding back into the calyx? looking dense as hell :hump:

I like the scope as long as they are off the plant. Takes some good pics.
I figure about another week. Mostly waiting on the lower part of my big buds to ripen up a bit more.
I trimmed quite a few shade leaves today and opened the lower growth up to more light.
I kinda prefer a more uppity high over being a blob. But I don't want clear trichs either.
I'm being patient. Smoking on the budz I chopped the other day. Even tho premature. They are pretty decent and smooth.
But really if I seen that they were 10-12 wk instead of 8-9 like I was thinking then I would just now be starting the flush and have bigger budz. Oh well!!

Yes very dense and flavorful.
I have noticed some foxtails growing off the top of a few of the buds with white pistils. I guess the budz are still packing on size.
Waiting on the trichs cuz I doubt I go to amber. Cloudy with maybe a few amber. I'm not looking for a comatose high.

Yeah, I love a good soaring high. I had to tie up a couple branches today they were so heavy. I smoked one that i cut a week ago last night. strongest diesel taste ive ever had.

Thats one good advantage of the scrog. My budz hold up pretty good by themself. The stalks are bout as big around as my little finger.
There is no way I'm gonna cut them with scissors, so I bought some cheap spring loaded shears/scissors today to trim and chop with.
