very nice update lad..u got sum sikk beans there lad lol..rep...
Yeah, I'm a lucky man lol
Btw, wait till you see my next set up. I've been doing a lot of drawing, planning and shopping-carting.
My next grow is gonna be automated ebb and flow or drip-line hydroponics in either hydroton or coco, with vertical bare-bulb 400w CMH, in a Verti-ScrOG w/ CO2 enrichment.
Not to mention all the vent/exhaust upgrades I'm gonna make too.
Gonna be sick for sure.

Agreed,

Nothing to worry about, the small amount of reddening can be from a number of small things including touching up your buds to test density etc.

How plead you BEANZ?????

Guilty of touching up your little girls???? ( that sounds so wrong lol )

OR

Not guilty.

The red hairs look real natural to me, I'm growing a NL x BB and it gets real red.
But only got a small peek at the girls nickers.
It's funny that you mention that cause the only plants it's happening to have bb genetics in it (ww x bb).

All lookin great here fella
The early brown/red hairs are normal half way into flower, I've had loads of strains do this. I'm not too sure why it happens but it's a mistake to think it's anywhere near harvesting yet mate, my Grape Stomper OG has been showing them since week five now but imo is still gonna go another week or 2 yet at least and I'm at week #9 with them atm and they're still mostly all white.

I'm still to take some week #9 pic's for my journal thread so I haven't got any new pic's up yet :-P but you'll see what I mean laters when I do my week #9 update mate
Those things are pretty as fuck! Whatever you're doing is working man.

Wow Beansly!!! Those look mighty delicious :) I have grown with my ex husband before, but this is the first time on my own. I currently have a white widow that is almost 3 weeks old, 3 medical Hammer Heads Fem and 3 Fast Buds Fem and then 5 Hawaiian clones a friend just dropped off he told me what they are, but I can't remember hehehe!! So happy to finally be doing something I love and able to do it legally~!! Good job!!!

It is a great feeling isn't it? I love my babies like they were my own. I talk to them, apologize to them when I make a mistake, tell them I mlove them, call them 'my girls'...lol Maybe that's a little crazy....lol
Idk though, I'm just so happy when I'm growing.
Thanks for that compliments btw and thanks for sticking around. I was doing my dailys in the garden this morning when I noticed that my Northern Light Blue's are putting on a blueish tint. Joy! I hope it tastes something like blueberries too...
You should start a journal yourself!

This is why I' so interested in buying a ceramic metal halide bulb for start to finish growth. It has a better light spectrum than both MH and HPS bulbs. It's the closest thing to the suns spectrum so far, and if you've been doing your research, you'll know that lumens are kinda worthless when talking about what a plant needs. On a sunny day in california the sun onlt gives off 7000-8000 lumens. WAAAAY less then the 100,000+ lumen HPS's. Yet, plants outdoors get much, MUCh, bigger and denser, and more even growth. Why?
Because it's much more important for your light to have the right spectrum than to shove lumens up your plant's ass.
HPS's and MH's are obsolete.
If you don't know about CMH's yet, I HIGHLY (pu intended) recommend you look into them.

CHM's also produce more IR light which is thought to give more & bigger trichome heads.

CHM.... new to me those, thanx for the info' fella. Now I'm extra interested in your next run.
Me too man. I was gonna get the Hortilux Super 400 because it has a good rep and 30% more blue light, but the sun's spectrum is what were after imho, but the CMH is where it's at. There a guy, riddleme, who grew 3 plants, under 2 400w CMH's and harvested 4000 g dry; and the kicker? The lights were like 22 inches above the plants. The man isn't one to lie either.
There's def something to those lights.
If I got one soon hell i'd throw it in now

Thanx for the heads up about these mate, I think I may give them a go myself too as I'm about ready for some new bulbs for my flower room.

Hey folks, I know I put an update yesterday but it really looks like they became more crytally overnight. The white widow genes in the wwbb cross are starting to show.

LOOKING ALOT BETTER beansly!!
Thanks man, that means a lot coming from you.

Look into it for sure at least. I think they're gonna be big. Shit man, MH's and HPS's have been around since the 70's. I think it's about time for a change in the grow light industry. The only problem is right now, they only come in 400w or less I think.

I was looking into plasma lighting too but they're so damn expensive. They're supposed to be really great too.

Science
Plant Growth Regulators
Plant Growth Regulators (PGR's) are chemicals that can physiologically alter particular areas of plant growth.

They can accelerate or retard growth rate, promote flowering, enhancement the color of fruit, stimulate healthy root growth along with promoting or reducing stem elongation.

Research indicates (End-of-Day Lighting with Different Red - Far-Red Light Ratios) that it is possible to control plant height (reduce stem elongation) without the use of chemical Plant Growth Regulators.

This study proved that plants grown with only 400w High Intensity Discharge lighting suffered from stem elongation whereas adding an additional 30 minutes of Red (600-700nm) & Far Red (700-800nm) LED lighting (at the end of the grow day) resulted in a reduction of stem elongation.

Based on this important research the Solar Genesis™ VI was engineered specifically to include these beneficial color spectrums.

This is a significant first step in the reduction of chemical Plant Growth Regulators resulting in a more natural, healthy and planet friendly method for residential micro-climate and commercial greenhouse growers.

Chameleon™ Grow Systems is proud to be the first (and only) company on the planet with this technology.

PAR
The practical measurement of light in plant biology is called

Photosynthetically Active Radiation (PAR)

Chlorophyll is the green-colored substance in plants that along with light

and carbon dioxide drives photosynthesis,

the most important energy reaction on earth

No life would be possible on our planet without photosynthesis

The action spectrum for photosynthesis (CO

fixation) is a fairly flat curve

over practically the entire visible light spectrum (400nm to 700nm)

Also, there is very little difference in light-capturing between one green plant and another, which is not surprising, since they all contain the same photochemical apparatus

The photosynthetic efficiency of blue light is slightly less than that of red light

The practical importance of this is that; plants do not flourish in

monochromatic or dichromatic light, they require full-spectrum light

to be able to reach their full potential

There was a grow on RIU I had bookmarked that used the $7000 version of the light and it was awesome, but I deleted it when it was finished...
I'll probably start with CMH's and then move to plasma if I ever gt the money ($2000 - $7000)

I've been looking at these for the past 6 months, The bulb you want is the Phillips "HPS Retro White" and it only comes in 250 & 400 W. There are other CMH bulbs in different wattage's but they don't have the same color spectrum. I don't have them YET but have seen them in action, they only have about 2/3 the lumes as an HPS but have many times the lumes in the proper color spectrum. And they run much cooler, you can actually touch the 400 bulb while it is operating.
