Sorry, but I don't hold the smoke in anymore. I haven't for the last year after I tested it out. I do NOT get more high from holding it in, and holding it in isn't healthy. Holding it in is a myth and when people do it I chuckle at them inside. smoke in, smoke out, you get just as high. If you need to hold your breath to get lack of oxygen to enjoy your high, then hold your breath AFTER you blow out the smoke because its healthier that way.
I do not hold in weed anymore, and I get just as high. Fact.
How can you call that a fact?
I know from every day use that IF I hold I am exposed to the smoke for more time I will get higher. Im not discussing whether you get higher or not if you hold it in, I know for a fact that you get higher if exposed to thc for a longer period of time. Holding it in WILL get you higher, because when I blow that smoke out too soon I feel the wasted potential because I was having a conversation. Even while hotboxing you notice the difference, whether it is just a little bit or an extra bowls worth(which it isn't).
Now debating on whether its healthy or not I would lean towards it being unhealthy, because when we hold our breath we use the oxygen left inside of our lunges and if it is fill with smoke it isn't pure oxygen, making our red cells have less oxygen then normal, thus starving the brain(most important in this case) and other organs of oxygen.
Leaning towards unhealthy I can say that holding your breath in for 30seconds every time is probably a good way to degenerate your brain over a couple of years, I still think that blowing your smoke out within 3 seconds is some bullsh*t.
Edit- It takes me about 4-5 seconds to hit a bong at full force, holding it in for 3 seconds would really just be a mistake to me.
I take hits, probably wait 6-7 seconds blow a quarter to half of it out(usually not very smokey) then take an other breath of oxygen. Hold it in for half a sec, left half of it out, breath in to 100% oxygen, let out to 50% capacity, breath in to 100% oxygen, let out to 50% cap, breath in to 100%, let out to 50%, breath in to 100%, then completely let out and there is still tons of smoke there.
Edit- I get higher when I hold my hits in. FACT.
There is no point in trying to tell me any different, all the THC is NOT absorbed instantly. Animals get high and humans get high with second hand smoke. FACT.
p.s. I am not supporting getting animals high(some can get panic attacks).
Edit- The only reason why I wouldn't mind you blowing the smoke out is if you have asthma, bronchitis, lunge lesions or a cold(not that I would be smoking with you). Which is why I don't tell people how long to hold their hit in, I just wanna say that you get higher by holding it in.
