trimming leaves in flowering?

should i still trim my leaves while my plant is in flowering?
You can but only leaves that are blocking potential bud sites. never more than a third of the plant at a time (in any phase of growth) and only do so every few weeks. too much trimming during flower and you could stress her into hermie.

thats true, i dont think i would touch my plant in flowering stage. i try to get everything perfect in vegg stage and what ever looks like a bad leaf will fall off on its own... let the plant grow

I've read that you should only trim the leaves that are directly blocking your buds, which shouldn't be that many anyway.. and i think your better off doing it at a later stage?

i have heard all and so i tried a side by side
my findings plants need big fan leaves for growthand stretch
after the stretch is over plants no longer need them sum start to yellow sum start to die and drop
i have grown and removed after stretch finished to almost bald plant
leaving only leaves around buds no herm everything else was corect
id rather experiment then listen

I agree. I personally don't cut anything I don't have to, but that's just my personal approach. Although the forum has a bunch of useful info, a lot of it is subjective. That's the best part about this hobby. So many different approachesbongsmilie

You gotta do something about that avatar man. Everytime I read a post by you I make it about 4 words in before I'm locked on that chicks ass and forget that I'm supposed to be reading something :hump:

It's just me and my methods, but I never cut leaves unless they block a bud and I cant move the bud over. Almost NEVER happens. The plant will shed the leaf when it's no longer needed. To me, trimming leaves is like giving the plant a gastric by-pass.

I feel when you trim a leaf it also trims back the roots. I have found this nice so when I go into flowering there is room in my pot for the roots to thicken when the plant buds. I don't have any research to prove this but I feel it helps

leave the fan leafs alone. what the hell do you guys think makes the buds? allowing more light to the buds? NO.
when growing fruit do you prune off all the leafs so you can have the light hit the fruit? NO why? because the fruit does not need to receive light the leafs do. less leaf=less bud

The only leaves I remove are the lower leaves that are already yellow and starting to get necrotic. I will MOVE leaves around if they are blocking a bud site. I figure the plant knows what it wants better than I do.
