That big Durban is way cool ! Perfect shape.
Thanks. I been thinking it is pretty great shape myself, only yield will tell. It's just started to flower and it's hard to tell how those growing tips will develop. For sure it won't be yielding anything from the center, it's dark in there. I was going to thin the inside out but there's not much to thin. I'll post pics as it gets heavier.

lookin' good hops, and I have to agree, that Durban is a pretty girl.
Thanks wheezer,
I got a nice surprise tonight, My maui wowie girl that I been spraying with silver is putting on some balls. Looks like I'll get my "reunion cross" after all (AG x MW). If I get some feminized pollen from the AG later, do you still want some or are you just interested in regular pollen? It'll probably be a couple+ more weeks on the AG, it's still not flowering... I got one of them in about a 8gal pot...about 7' and lovely. I'm guessing november harvest at least.

haha yea I got a few threads goin, in organics and all over the place ha! Yea I'm more interested in the reg pollen for sure. What's the best way to keep it you think? I pulled some the other day and put it in a pill bottle and have it at room temp for now. IDK for sure the best way to keep it for long time.

Gotta dry it in paper for a day.... then put some silica gel in with it and keep it cool and dry. Warm and moist no good. I hear you can get 6 months or more in a freezer, small mason jar with silica gel in it, sealed. I kept some just like that for 3 months and it worked - although I didn't get as many seeds as I thought I would. I'm gonna try to plan to use mine right off the plant; a lo easier to store genetics in seed form.

If you dont mind my asking, why would you prefer reg pollen?

Weekend Update.

All the girls got a thorough BT spray, bloom tea foliar feed, bloom tea soil drench and half got thinned a bit to weed out worthless, spindly stuff.

About a third of the ladies are gettin' their flower on. Glad to see that. Still looks like the Blue widows and the purple og will finish first, we'll see.

Here's a few pics.

The POG has been thinned some since the pic, needs a little more. Talk about bud sites...jeez. gonna be a thousand small buds on this girl. My smelliest plant too. Got 3 more of her - not as big.

Any guesses on yield from these 5?

The girl on the right needs a little thinning. The one on the left is juuuust right :)

Ordered some trellis netting online from the mfg for a very nice price....Should get it today. I'll post when I do as to the quality of the stuff. Hope it works out, the stuff at my local hydro shop was waaay to expensive; woulda cost about 200 for enough to do the big girls.

Hey Goped,
Resin production looks good! You might want to look for TINY bugs under the larger leaves..... you got sumpin' goin' on bro.
I am no bug expert to be sure.... but looks like mites. (I have been lucky in the bug department except for one Worm problem) Ask some one with more bug knowledge than me.

Good luck,

Hops

P.S. you are welcome for the goodies. If you want more, let me know I can spare a few more. :)

Spent way too long last week spraying Bt through a tank sprayer on the big girls and have noticed a little mite damage on a few or the small girls. Made the investment for an atomizer, didn't like the price at all but I'll be smiling tomorrow when I'm done with the whole job in 30 min instead of 2 hours. Hopefully this thing will make my 60.00 pint of azamax last 3 times longer......Dirrty, maybe I can get Half lb to pay for this too..?

NICE! I broke down and bought me one on last Wednesday! i got the tank and the pint as well for $313 all together! guy gave me 15% discount for wearing their company shirt when i came in to buy it! but come harvest it will pay itself back 10 folds so thats why im not worried too much! the only downside is the weight really, kinda a burden to carry around the garden but hey its what has to be done!! keep it up and the bugs will be gone!
